Have I deified Reagan? I didn't vote for him. I don't support liars of either party. And now you're saying that as long as Reagan lied and got elected, it's only fair we elect another liar. That makes no sense to me. If you're a liberal, fine. Find an honest one. I actively supported George McGovern. Find a guy like that, and I will proudly vote Democrat, even if I disagree with many policies. I will vote for him/her solely on the basis that they're honest.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that you won't find one who ISN'T a liar. So I'm forced to vote for the liar I agree with.

You're not forced to do anything. You choose to vote for and support liars. That's why they keep winning. It's hard for honest people to rise in government. It's even harder when so many support and defend corruption.

You'll never get enough people to agree with you, that's the problem. What people don't want to hear or admit is that the average person in this country has no bearing on policy. Absolutely none. We have absolutely no control, disguised as SOME control.

I know. That's sad. And that is why America is failing. I will always do what I think is best for my country, not just what will harm it less. America is in a steep decline, and will remain in decline until she hits bottom. But I will not be a party to her decline if I can help it.
