The shortfall on the SS tax receipts was made up from general revenue. The deficit was applied to the general revenue account.
This part is correct. SS had an approximate 45 billion shortfall in each 2011 and 2012. That shortfall was "made good" by the general fund. In other words, they just printed more money and issued more debt.

No way, WTF said that SS is solvent. Or is this what we are calling solvent.
It was a temporary, emergency cut - end of story. One can make a pretty strong case that Obama displayed a sense of realism sadly lacking among the Teawipes and at least one of their "leaders," Grover Norquist.
There is no "there" there in this story.

The smart people will understand. The dumb ones? Who cares?
You are apparently so blinded by partisianship that you refuse to acknowledge his pledge of no tax increase on those making less than $250,000 per year actually was a lie.
Doove, you are correct that the smart ones will understand and the ones that voted for him will not.
Spin anyway you want it is a tax increase on every working stiff in the country.
Most "average" workers see only one thing. Their take home pay was smaller.
Wait untill the full weight of ObamaCare hits. They will really notice then.

Spin anyway you want it is a tax increase on every working stiff in the country. No spin here, Bill-O, jr., except for what you're trying to do. BTW, your contortions to try and make this fit might qualify you for a job in the circus, something you're obviously intellecutally equipped for. [/QUOTE]
The depths of these Teawipe Parrotriots' shallowness is astounding.
I understand that it was a temporary tax break but Obama repeatedly stated no tax increases on those making under $250,000. This is typical left spin to cover his ass. You are being in intellectually dishonest and you know it.

Then you must have a different definition of "temporary" than everyone else does.
