A buddy who worked for a Japanese manufacturer said Audis are fine until the warranty runs out. it was true. I drive another German brand.

Another one I've owned (a 993). Fun car until I had an engine issue just outside of warranty. And yes I was loyal to the dealership for service. PCNA ended up covering 75%. Grrr. I do like the look of the Cayman. I had a 968 that was a great car.

Many consumers did unless it was a company car.
As for the automotive bucket list:
Porsche Carrera GT
Ferrari 458 or 599 just look so sexy. Isabelle may I pick you up in one?
As a daily driver:
Vette Z06: tremendous bang for the buck. C5 or C6.
Sedan wise: Caddie CTS-V again tremendous bang for the buck
Maybach as the luxo barge (I saw and sat in the concept Maybach at the Tokyo auto show in '97)
BMW 1 Series M (just shipping now)
I like my cars to be "tossable." So many cars now are so damn heavy (BMW sadly). To flick a car in a turn, get it pointed and hammer the gas is just fun.
Obviously, I do not suffer the left hand lane Louies who block the fast lane
"hey you! That pedal on the right is to make the car GO!" lightly.
