Just read it. It’s not that long, but it does tell you something about the Democrat’s VP pick.

As a Veteran myself, I do not think this rises to the level of Stolen Valor, it simply shows that as a high ranking NCO in the National Guard, he scammed the system to his own benefit.

Did he finally “quit” at the opertunity time just when his unit was getting ready to be deployed to Iraq. Only he can answer that truthfully.

Like it or not Tim Walz served 24 years in the Guard from the age of seventeen. I think labeling his decision to retire as “scamming” is egregious.

It sounds to me like he moved from one kind of public service to another, military to government. Obviously the decision to leave was his to make and he took the demotion to Master Sergeant without any complaint. I’m not a veteran so take my opinion with that in mind. After serving as long as he did I don’t blame him for retiring before being deployed to Iraq.

Some of these MAGA veterans act like they're the only ones who ever served in the military. I'm a veteran, probably with more time and deployments than most of them here. I don't see any stolen valor there.

The thing about all this "thank you for your service" is - The very same assholes out here are the same ones in there. Despite how much they like to wear hats and plaster stickers all over their cars, there's nothing that magically makes one a decent human just because they joined up.

Well, Walz certainly isn't the warrior type. Soldiers in combat have been trained in the use of firearms and knives to ignore hardship to win by attrition, to kill period. Walz doesn't have what it takes, at least he knew his limitations.

Well, we are/were:

1. Third in median income average. I think that is pretty good considering 1% of the USA population controls 90% of the wealth.

2. First in defense spending, spending more (than our 26 allies combined).

It's not social security (which pays for itself unless congress borrows from it) or even Healthcare that's the largest expense for the Federal Gov. It's Military Spending. We should have peace thru strength, but we have taken it a notch too far.

This why the total rolling debt of the USA exceeds 30 Trillion Dollars.

A. The USA spends too much on Military Spending.

B. The corporate tax rate is too low and the 1% don't pay enough in taxes. The tax rate percentage in the tax table is 36%, but the effective tax rate for most of the top 1% is much less than 36%.
