Sadly, that goes both ways--the conservative media and machine do not come to court with clean hands either. Whether it is the LW zealots or the RW zealots, neither side can actually stay focused on the issues. They might SAY they are, but that typically lasts 10 minutes before the mudslinging.

For example if we taxed all exec pay in excess 50 or 75x the lesser of avg or median worker pay at 50- 75%, then execs will have 1 of 2 options. Either accept lower pay or increase worker pay to maximize their own profits. It's not the ultimate solution and the rich will still get richer but it allows others to get a better leg up and is a start in the right direction of wealth redistribution. First of all, you only get down to 20% long term capital gains treatment after holding the fucking investment for at least one year, and it takes 5 years of investment to get down to 15%. It is open to any motherfucker who invests, smart or dumb, black or white, and encourages savings and investment. If a motherfucker saves money and then provides investment to create a better and more productive society, doesn't he deserve some benefit, especially since he was taxed on the earnings in the first place?
