Superman had that green rock....krytonite? Every super hero has a weakness. Dale Sr has on and it got him. Don't know what Jimmy Johnson's yet, he is still humble.
But I cannot figure out who your arch enemy is? Any one got a suggestion?

LOVED THEM ALL AS A KID ... especially the Marvel heroes, who were just appearing when I was in grade school.
Find most of them comical in their campiness, though... which is why I gravitate to the absurd ones, like Howard the Duck, and Wonder Warthog.
Steven Lynch does a great comedy song about superheroes, where he introduces a number of new ones, including Valtrex Guy and Fuck You Man.
SNL had the "Ex-Presidents" and "The Ambiguously Gay Duo"
I like the heroes in Mystery Man. Especially the Ben Stiller character, Mr Furious(?) who just gets pissed off! But they also had Waffle Man (played by Dane Cook), Ballerina Man and the PMS Avenger. But if there's ONE superhero that best FITS this community ... and one we can all relate to ... it's
THE MIGHTY THOR!
Come on ladies and gents, surely you've had a session that left you mighty thor, haven't you? (Didn't mean to call you Shirley!)

Best superhero match was the battle between Superman and Muhammad Ali. Ali wins. Special release comic. Don't know why they did it, but they did it.

Green Lantern is OK, but I've never really seen him have total control of his imagination when using his powers. He's usually just making big hammers, or just walls. The only time I've seen it come close was when Green Lantern created an orbital satellite in the comic: Kingdom Come (illustrated by my favorite artist: Alex Ross).
My personal favorite is Spiderman. He's got the brains, humor, and powers to be awesome. I've read a many Spiderman novels and he takes the cake when it comes to fighting anyone else. The Hulk can't even touch him! (Ok, eventually he will, but it's close!)
Second to Spiderman has to be Batman. The brains top everything. Many of the Marvel novels bring to light the excellence of his skill and intelligence. I can see why he's always the Justice League's field commander.
Also, The Flash is faster than Superman because The Flash gets his powers from the Speed Force and can accelerate faster than the speed of light! Again, I read way too many Marvel novels and I think The Flash isn't given enough credit by many.
Did I splooge too much geekiness?!

Although I was drawn more towards characters without actual super powers, the first Superhero that really caught my attention was the Ghost Rider.
The look of the character always appealed to me and the fact that he could not be bought or sold, due to the fact that he was a "spirit" of vengeance and not a man at all. He was simple and right down the middle: spill innocent blood and he'd come callin'. Did I mention he rides a freakin' motorcycle with wheels of fire? Hard to top that lol.
