I did and this is what I found out about North Carolina's recent Presidential voting history:

It was the 2nd closest race of the 2008 election (behind Missouri).

Ok BigTits, so the state of North Carolina has a long history of voting Republican in national elections, and now the red tide has gotten even stronger in the Tar Hell state with the GOP historic take over of the Capitol, Governor's Mansion, State Supreme Court, and other administrative positions. As noted the GOP (with a conservative coalition of Tea Party activists and evangelicals) will control the legislative agenda in the state for at least a decade.

I guess you are agreeing with me; the dimwit democrats wrongly think the GOP is in decline, especially in North Carolina. The state that the Democrats controlled for more than a century, but lost in November !!!!!!

Correction, with the notable exception of 1976 and 2008 the Dems lost NC in 1968.

Right. And Obama's loss was made even more significant with the Democrat's loss of the State House, Governor's Mansion, Supreme Court, and other key administrative positions.

After nearly a century of Democratic control, the Republican Party, led by a conservative coalition is in charge in Raleigh and across the state !

Whirly, in case you missed it NC started "trending" Republican in 1968. To this day it is still "trending" Republican, along with most of the entire Deep South:

Yep; and the cherry on top of your noted trend was the historic GOP take over of the century held Democratic statehouse.................

Thanks for agreeing with me that the GOP isn't dying and that the GOP historic win in NC could serve as a blue print for winning in blue states.

Whirly, unlike you, I don't try to sugarcoat anything. When you accurately portray a "trending" line like NC leans Republican, I will give you credit for it.

With that said, I certainly do not agree that the Tar Hell State is a recent Republican "trend." NC, along with most of the Deep South has been "trending" Republican since 1968. It should be noted that the 1968 Presidential election shortly followed the passage of the historic Civil Rights legislation in DC.

Whirly, would you consider the Deep South voting primarily Republican since the passage of the Civil Rights Act to be a "trend" that has withstood the test of time? Or do you consider it to be coincidental?

By the same token, when you repeatedly throw out a bullshit "trending" line that I know is wrong. Such as you did with Wisconsin. I will tell you repeatedly, if necessary, that you are full of shit! Yes, I did tell you repeatedly that you were full of shit! Emphasis on the word "repeatedly!"

And now you know how I roll!
