You should always post gatherings on the board publicly. M&G, poker parties, bike rides, etc. That way I'll know vice is tied up and I can go out and play without worry!

Unfortunately that is incorrect. It may be difficult to identify the men, but the provider can simply be arrested for posting an ad. its called solicitation.. no appointments or money exchanged and is it still a legit arrest. nothing wrong with gatherings just don't announce the location and make sure you verify the people who you let know about it.

As you can see by add'l posts, certainly not a given, but vice is still a possibility...and has been proven at certain events over the years. Sorry you were not in the loop during those periods. PSA on these meetings can lead to trouble.

Secondly, vice is not the only thing to worry about....think about it

However, when off the board get together are handle correctly....lots of fun does occur

But to add to your post, over the weekend I was discussing this thread with a couple of friends and one brought up the fact that if LE knew about a bunch of folks riding bikes and meeting at a BAR what would stop them from setting up an impromptu sobriety checkpoint..?.. I'm not all that versed on specific laws but I wonder if they would actually rather charge folks with DUIs

In this covert world we dwell in, there are not always do-overs.

I'm not sure about Missouri, but in Kansas a DUI is a felony if there are prior convictions. Solicitation is a misdemeanor. Which do you think brings in more revenue?

I have heard enough whispering to know that it can and has happened and that open discussions of meetings of any type on a SHMB is just not a good idea.
Not only for possible LE involvement but more for the possible criminal involvement too... would hate to see anyone blackmailed just because they had a nice ride.

I am not sure about Kansas or Missouri but I do know of a few states that have the third time is a charm rule...
I.E. third CONVICTION of solicitation/prostitution automatically becomes a felony.
