He said he talked to his accountants, not his insurance carrier,before. Seems, per your brave search through the archives of ECCIE, the accountants determined he would make out well AS IT STOOD BEFORE THE INSURANCE WAS RE-QUOTED via the subsidizes for small business with a limited number of employees.

In THIS thread, he is talking about the abysmal news he obviously got from his insurance carriers [and other carriers I'm guessing].

We damned sure are not laying anybody off. We have way too much work, and good men are hard to come by. Of course, we don't have a lot of dead weight laying around like larger companies, so many of them will have to trim the fat, so to speak.

The bottom line is companies are going to protect THEIR interests not the naive, let's call it intent of the law.
