Ztonk is pretty fair but already has a busy forum to deal with.....

You have unique issues and players used to playing outside the guidelines.... You need a MOD that is familiar with the community to an extent that can read and grasp the guidelines as written... no more or less....

Guidelines are guidelines and not rules, at least that's how I see them applied across the board. Do you really mean that the mods need to be in line with the interpretations and meanings that the owners of the board intend by those guidelines?

Sometimes being intentionally vague is intentional...

So where are those ban hammers already???

You may have thought you were being helpful, but you did not clarify who did or did not have special permission.

OLM did come back to the issue as his deluge was winding down. This time his focus was more general, except for some special attention to one member. I would attribute any negative responses at that point to fatigue and frustration with OLM's deluge. You were absent in that discussion.

You failed to specify early whether those with multiple handles had special permission or not. Your failure to clarify this early makes bringing it up now disingenuous. ijs

A theme of your posts has been something like, "You get the ___ you deserve." I have visited other Forums on this site, and I have seen agitators, pimp sightings, accusations of multiple handles, accusations of mod favoritism, etc. If you are saying South Texas is especially bad compared to the rest of the site, I'm not buying what you're selling.

And let's flip your theme around: the site gets the members it deserves. ijs
There is no secret method to getting a second handle. The method for asking is stated in GL18. That second handle (if granted) does not happen at the local level.

You already know your local pimps did not have permission to have two handles. Their response to this dust up Luigi created says it all.

I simply clarified the guidelines. The venom pointed at Luigi over the exposure of a clear guideline violation does not go unnoticed in modtardville. You get the local forum you deserve.

I could ban all of the multiple handle parties today and deal with whatever bitching your local modtard brings up in modtardville. But, that would not be in line with the interpretations and meanings that the owners of the board intend. So, to answer your question. If I were to choose to ignore the owners intent, I would be no different than your local modtard who is doing exactly that.

There are guidelines that are interpretive in nature (insulting remarks comes to mind). Multiple handles is not one of those.

Agreed, that's what I thought...

I didn't write anything about a secret method. You wrote about special permission.

I might know now, but you can always come back with "You are still mistaken...". Your "clarification" only told me that there was an exception. I could come to any conclusion after that.

No, you did the opposite. You muddied the waters and left. This would have clarified the guideline in question, "GL18 allows any member of this board to seek special permission to have a second handle. That permission is not automatic and comes with a plethora of conditions IF granted. The permission is not granted at the local modtard level. Any member here with multiple handles is in violation of GL18, unless that permission is sought and granted. NONE of your local agency owners have special permission to have a second handle." If that's what you meant, and that's what you are saying now (it's never clear with you), SAY IT.

You dropped the ball in terms of the violation being clear. I hope they notice that too. You are focused on one factor in terms of the venom. I do not agree that only one factor was involved.

Your inability to see the obvious does not require me to make a map for you. The fact that Luigi is given a clear answer that he muddles in his druncken stupor is for you to work out on your own. It is part of that getting the forum you deserve.

I deliberately do not tell you what your situation for a reason. It is your forum. It is your job to be aware of what is happening in your local forum. I could speculate you have allowed a few pimps to spoon feed you into a herd of sheep. But again, you get the forum you deserve.

So, not simply clarifying the guidelines after all.

Interesting that you are blaming OLM now. No, you get full credit for muddying the water.

I have seen the obvious about other topics only to have you turn them into matters of interpretation. So, yes, draw me a map. If the topic is so important to modtardville, why play games? Why withhold information?

The site gets the members it deserves. Hopefully, modtardville will note your contributions to the problems here.

Why do you need simple guidelines interpreted for you? You are like a one trick pony needing the bit. I stated the guideline in play. I do not need to expand on it. It is quite clear.

I understand your confusion. If I were functioning in the vacuum of clear modtard guidance you guys function under, I would be as confused as you appear to be. It is like you guys had a ying (Col. Z) and yang (ElGato69) with one abstention (Aztec Princess). Your ying has disappeared and you are stuck with what is left.

I can agree you stated the guideline in play. I did not agree you clarified it. You're now saying you didn't need to. That's fine.

Given your role in the mess, in my opinion, you have have no credibility in casting aspersions on our members or our Mods. You will likely disagree. We can agree to disagree at this point.

That is ok. I do not seek your approval in this mess. The fact you are able to disagree with me in a civil manner demonstrates some hope for you.
