Anyone looking at any of your 21 posts can clearly see you are not a resource, have never contributed one ounce of info - but only ask for contact info.

In addition, while your intentions may in fact be good-- Berryberry is right that your posting history does make you look rather suspect. I've been in touch with a couple of the ladies in the area, along with a local well known hobbyist that is partially responsible for me giving Pittsburgh a chance.

My favorite mid-range hotel is Drury inn, there’s one off the parkway west about 1/2 way between Greentree and the airport. They have free breakfast and dinner (evening kickback I believe it’s called), which includes cocktails, free snacks and non alcoholic drinks all day, and the suites are really nice. Price is comparable to other 3 star places.

Drury Inns are fairly nice-- I'll agree with you on that. Another chain that offers the evening dinner is Homewood, but only during the week.


I've grown partial to hotels in a particular reward group simply because I enjoy earning rewards, perks, etc. As much as I plan on touring this year-- it just makes sense to attempt to be "brand loyal" and stack up some free nights.

Generally if booking someone in the Greentree area I try to avoid rush hour traffic. Pittsburghers are afraid of tunnels and are compelled to trounce on the breaks as much as 2 miles before the Fort Pitt tunnels. Accordingly, I’m reluctant to book earlier than a start time of 10:30-11:00 AM or an ending time latter than 3:00-3:30 PM. I drive from an hour away anyway making punctuality a challenge due to unforeseen traffic issues.

I’m wishing you a profitable and successful visit. Hoping that I might meet you on a future visit.

I heard this repeatedly-- its part of why I'm splitting my trip between the Airport area and Monroeville...Probably going to make a habit out of splitting my trip when I visit...

Ok-- so the best laid plans and all that yada yada yada...


Got diagnosed with Covid-- it has resulted in me cancelling Nashville altogether-- and I'll likely have to cancel the front half of my trip to Pittsburgh. I'm still coming for the Monroeville leg as I'll be well past the recommended days by then.. but I'd rather play it safe on that front half. Those of you impacted have already been messaged.


I'm considering adding on to the back end of Monroeville-- but if I do that, it would have to be Cranberry due to timing.
