#1: You might want to read the ACA. OF COURSE, the ACA doesn't use the phrase "Death Panel" ... there is a regional board established to which denials of coverage by a carrier are appealed and that board decides whether one gets coverage or not. Those decisions are customarily "LIFE AND DEATH" decisions (just like in Medicare/Medicaid decisions) because more serious (expensive) treatments are customarily the ones denied by carriers who do not want to spend the money.
#2: You are parroting the socialistic, monarchy talking points again ... did you read the article published in the Heritage Foundation rag ... or just quote bullshit from other bullshitters? The "problem" with the proposal in the Foundation article .. it applies to ALL citizens and ALL employers ... across the board .. EVERYONE is on the same page. FAR DIFFERENT from the reality of ACA, plus the article suggests methodology for PAYING FOR THE SUPPLEMENTS WITH TAXING ADJUSTMENTS has built into ... APPLICABLE TO EVERYONE. No exemptions, no delays. On paper. I would not have gotten through Congress ... any more than HILLARY-CARE.
#3: I don't think you will find a lot of "Republican" pronouncements in support ...
Moynihan's suggesting of "privatizing" social security with private accounts fits into that "mold" ... the socialists like you didn't clamor for it and leap at the opportunity.
And I didn't read anything about Executive Exemptions and tax penalties for not signing up.
There were suggestions which were apparently ignored ... substantial changes in the taxing and deducting of medial costs ... which amounted to a substantial tax increase.
You might want to "revisit" HILLARY-CARE ... or just give it a year .. it will be in the news.
