I support the Trader Joe's idea, but I don't really care if an In 'n Out makes it to San Antonio. I think Cali needs a Taco Cabana. My .02!

They opened a location out there didn't make it beyond a year, Mexican food in Cali. is different form the Tex-Mex you get here. We can start another thread discussing the pros and cons of both.

Syn, yes you heard right Trader Joe's will be near us soon, and road trip is justified.

Oh yes!

I used to frequent the one that was located on the westbound side of 410 between Nacogdoches and Broadway. That building is a Las Palapas now. Great burgers and great fries.

I have, Syn and I haven't touched foot since it left there.

But another member of this site pointed me to Timbos.
Person who worked there started it with most of the things you loved at Hipps being there.

Little Hipps..... that takes me back. Remember the ugly ass turtle they had in the aquarium?

I'll cast another vote for In & Out coming to SA. I ate there every chance I got the last time I was in CA. For fast food they have darn good burgers, great fries, and fair shakes. Their service is reliably the best of any fast food and their low prices must be seen to be believed.

The other end of the spectrum is White Castle, I tried them and wound up throwing most of the order in the trash, just horrible.

Thanks Dennis for the link will definitely be adding that place to my bucket list of burger joints. I've never had an in & out burger so i'd vote for it to come to SA just so I can try it
