I think the candidates have their own internal polls which are likely more accurate than what we get to see. As the election nears, watch where they campaign, and which states they abandon, and we'll likely get a better idea of who is leading where.

That is right; and Obama's internal polling is telling him he needs to go hard negative...a sign that his own polling shows him to be trailing Obama in the key states !
