I'm worried they will take care of everything in plain view with robots but there will be something in a closet, or under a kitchen counter which will only detonate when the door or cabinet is opened. Can the robots open all the inside doors and cabinets? I wouldn't put anything past this crazy guy.

Yes.

FYI: This is prophetic: https://www.auroragov.org/cs/groups/...ent/003304.pdf

June 21, 2011.

The have roughly 300,000 in population.

I heard that the response time to the theater was about 1 minute to 1 1/2 minutes, but ... that has to be patrol officers and from dispatched time not shooting time. The average patrol officer is not prepared, trained, and/or equipped to make an entry into a building with live fire in progress, particularly with auto or semi auto rifle fire. Unfortunately that lesson was not adequately learned from Colombine....and even with 911 there has been complacency and recently budget constraints for equipment and training.

You guys are armchair quarterbacking the hell out of this one.

You can't make things totally idoit proof and you can't protect the masses from total nutbags.

So how is the movie?

That's for sure!

I think there were questions on the table and raised from early news reports. I don't think anyone on here is suggesting directions on how to proceed with the investigation ... some might be curious about overall security issues with movie theaters ... the Israelis, et al, are!

So true. I'll wait for the movie to come out on Redbox. But I can get robbed and shot standing in front of the Redbox machine, too. I'll wait until a cop is at the 7-11 getting donuts and go then...

Im concerned as to why this incident, although tragic has dominated the news. I would think the law allowing men sexual rights with his dead wife for 6 hours in Egyptian parliament, The Syrian governments potential collapse (with all of the chemical weapons), Iran's nuclear program, Israels beefing up its military after the bus bombing, The Chinese Beefing up its military presence in disputed Islands, Russia's crack down on civil liberties, or the Olympics would have some more coverage. I guess its a distraction from real problems and news.

No, I think it's an America fed up with the problems of the world and instead focusing on our own problems here...

Oh wait, forgot that the American news viewing public are fucking morons...I guess that Egypt doesn't sell advertisements...

I don't think that 14 people dieing in Colorado affects anywhere near 1% of the rest of the 315 million Americans but I could be wrong. I think possible war from countries abroad would effect us and be more our problem than this incident.

Possible war from other countries should affect us more than it does...and be more our problem than this incident, but reporters know what will catch attention.. some thing going on in another country does not hit home, near as much as .... some thing happening here. A lot of people watching the news on what's going on in other contries.. think it's not close, and think "politics", as where when things like this happen, they think about people around them that have been closely affected. A lot of people think with their emotions when "major" things happen.. that draws them to a story... not surprising that the coverage is greater for this...

I wish someone would kill Tim Burton at a premiere, take his body, and try to re-animate him. God, am I tired of his one note storyline!
