As was suggested earlier the easiest permanent solution is the Ignore button provided for just this purpose. Since no one seems to want to push it then this is all for the love of show and drama.
It's like bitching that an ex with a key keeps dropping by uninvited to start a fight yet you refuse to simply change the door lock. Most would assume you're still in love with the ex and complaining about a fight is better than no fight at all.
Just press the button and problem solved.
