I have a stack of them.....
I did read it. I spent half a day going over it in a class.
It's main focus is to inform business owners what to expect.
If this thing is so great how come the House, Senate and Democrat President did not want it for themselves and their families????
As Nancy Pelosi said we have to pass it so we know what is in it.....
That brochure gives you an idea of what to expect for a small business owner... We still do not know if it will go into full force. McDonalds got a waiver and several other business. Several states have gotten a waiver as well. This is public knowledge are you saying that this is not true SUP?
Even the CBO came out and said that this is going to cost us money and they miscalculated.

For God's sake, bubba, it's a 6-page bulleted brochure entitled "Health Reform in a Nutshell." You spent half a day going over it? I'm impressed!
I'm delighted you're reading up on the subject. That means you have no excuse to back up your arguments with at least something to which we can refer.
BTW -- the Republicans in the Congress are on the same plan as the Democrats.
What part of this "public knowledge" are you challenging me on? That several states have petitioned for waivers? That's true. Your McDonalds did, too? I didn't know that. What's your point?
Where did the Congressional Budget Office come out and say "this is going to cost us money and they miscalculated."
I'd like you to source that one.
BTW -- I got a brochure from my doctor that showed me how they were going to perform surgery on my spine. Color diagrams and everything! I think I understand it now...

Gee, that's funny...
http://www.cbo.gov/publications/collections/health.cfm
"CBO and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) estimate that enacting both pieces of legislation will produce a net reduction in federal deficits of $143 billion over the 2010-2019 period."
I beg you to please stop wasting everyone's time with your nonsense responses. Your enlightenment is your responsibility, not mine, and I strongly encourage you to do just that. Now grow up, stop acting like a child, and learn how to use Google!

Had to so I could help inform small business owners.

No Shit!
What part of this "public knowledge" are you challenging me on? That several states have petitioned for waivers? 3 states got them and 24% of Pelosi district has got one. That's true. Your McDonalds did, too? I didn't know that. What's your point? If it is so great why get a waiver? Welcome it with open arms.

Ahh. Heritage foundation again. Let's see. F-Sharp quotes the CBO publication you supposedly cite and you come back with a link to a Heritage Foundation post. Makes perfect sense to me!
OK. Well, at least you Googled something. Congratulations.
And YOU spent a half a day explaining health system reform to small businessmen? You were the lecturer? I AM impressed. I'm sure THEY are confused!
Keep up the good work! I'm guessing the next thread is obvious!

For those of you considering Romney as an viable option, you probably do not know much about the Mormon religion. Here are a few things to consider:
Mormons consider the Catholic Church and abomination and consider the devil as it's founder. "It is also to the Book of Mormon to which we turn for the plainest description of the Catholic Church as the great and abominable church. Nephi saw this 'church which is the most abominable above all other churches' in vision. He 'saw the devil that he was the foundation of it' and also the murders, wealth, harlotry, persecutions, and evil desires that historically have been a part of this satanic organization.(Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine [1958], 130.)"
Until 1978, a mere 33 years ago, Mormons would not allow blacks to hold the preisthood withing their organization. "Negroes" are not considered equal to other races within their religion.
"Negroes in this life are denied the Priesthood; under no circumstances can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty. (Abra. 1:20-27.) The gospel message of salvation is not carried affirmatively to them... negroes are not equal with other races where the receipt of certain spiritual blessings are concerned, particularly the priesthood and the temple blessings that flow therefrom, but this inequality is not of man's origin. It is the Lord's doing, is based on his eternal laws of justice, and grows out of the lack of Spiritual valiance of those concerned in their first estate." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, pp. 527-528)"
Mormons hold their prophet above all else. His word is the final word. Consider that of Romney were to be elected, it would be his Mormon prophet ultimately dictating this country's directions. You would ultimately be electing the Mormon prophet president, not Romney! "When our leaders speak, the thinking has been done. When they propose a plan-it is God's plan. When they point the way, there is no discussion, it should mark the end of controversy," stated a part of the ward teaching message printed in the Improvement Era, June 1945, p. 345.
I'll come up with some of these if anyone is interested. Remember, we get the government we deserve. Tread carefully friends.

I recently moved and had the Mormon missionaries help me move. 4 19 year old boys in ties showed up and did most the work. At the end they of course tried to pitch me on becoming a Mormon. The pitch man was a black kid I wanted to tell him his religion is prejudice against him.
I call the book of Mormon Christian fiction with no book of maps... They got rid of the best selling point multiple wives.
I did finally tell them I have read the book the God Makers. To which one said it was a anti Mormon book. It is written by two former Mormons.
I would still vote for him based on his conservative values and not all Mormons are that hardcore.

If you dig deep enough you're gonna find some wacky stuff in anyone's religion but that doesn't mean they subscribe to it.
Obama for example belonged to an urban church in south Chicago which preached some really wild stuff, none of which he ever believed IMHO.

No I'm not blind! What you linked to had only one mention of health care. Mentioned that freezing Medicare payments to doctors would boost the outlays between 2012-2021 by $0.3 trillion. WTF does that have to do with the statement you made?
Did you read the document? REALLY?
If you do, maybe you'll learn something.

You know, I don't give a rat's ass if you worship at the altar of Marilyn Monroe. This is America!
But that's not the issue here, TAE. The issue is whether the evangelical branch of the Republican party would vote for a Mormon. I suspect the big Mormon baiting will come during the primary season and from someone like Perry or Palin.
It WILL keep Romney from getting the nomination.

"The President's policy proposals mostly affect the revenue side of the budget. Those proposals would reduce revenues, compared with CBO's baseline projections, in every year of the coming decade—for a total reduction of about 6 percent over the 2012–2021 period."
Makes perfect sense, but has nothing to do with the healthcare plan. Oddly enough, your Heritage link makes no mention of this.
In fact, the word "healthcare" is not mentioned even once in the revision. Heritage makes a flimsy attempt at blaming it on the healthcare plan, but I don't see one single connection between the CBO revision and their odd translation of it, do you?
Good first effort though Wyldeman, I hope we see more of this! Be nice to have a REAL debate for a change. I might suggest you get off the partisan blogs for awhile, or at least use some critical thinking and compare your blogs to the source of the information they are manipulating and attempting to get you to swallow. Unless, that is of course you like swallowing....
