Toss up for me. Depends what she is wearing with the hosiery selection and discussions with gals on fashion preference. A schoolgirl it would seem thigh highs be more appropriate looking but really who cares! I am not picky.
Stockings would work too for schoolgirl outfits but more gals seem to prefer thigh highs from what I noticed and tell me.

In my years of hobbying, I love garters and stockings but have yet to see any gals dressing up in them when I see them. Maybe on my bucket list to request if the lady has them.
