We all have the right to defend ourselves. Unfortunately because of the Laws society has imposed on us we have to justify our actions in these cases. None of us have to endure a beating of any kind. This case in my mind can be justified only if Zimmerman can account for the fact that he tried every means possible to subdue his attacker. Don't think for a minute he doesn't have to show that his efforts went unaffective. Now once he has tried punching the guy, maybe even biting him, poking him in the eyes. None of this works he begins to fear for his life and is able to brandish a weapon and kills his assailant. Until I hear that he exhausted all means to subdue an unarmed suspect the idea of this case being Self Defense by Deadly Force in my opinion hangs in the balance. Another aspect of this case is how did these two meet. Should they have met. How much of Florida's Castle Doctrine applies to this case. Everyone seems to think that this altercation was just unbelievable and Zimmerman just could not have survived it without shooting Trayvon. I am not disputing that, I just haven't seen any hard core evidence or have heard any testimony of it. Thats my whole point.
