You won't find the masking guidelines in any public areas....a hobbyist would not typically need to mask an escorts phone number....

If the masking rules say you have to hide 4 digits, I would think any 4 of the last 7 would be in compliance. 214-1xx-xx67 is just as effective as 214-xxx-x567.

They may have gotten specific so ladies wouldn't try skirting the rules by masking part of the area code, such as 2xx-xx3-4567. Pretty much anyone could fill in the blanks for the first two if the guy lives in Dallas.

Unmasking a non-member's number is not considered outing
Eccie doesn't give a shit about every john or hooker out there, ONLY ECCIE MEMBERS

This is why posters can link news articles of those arrested in stings(mugshots, real names and all) with no repercussions
But if it comes to light, one of them is a member here.. you will get banned

It is supposed to be like this 713-***-*234. There is no room for deviation from this formula. A deviation from this formula regarding a member of this board is outing. A deviation from this formula regarding someone who is not a member of this board is not outing. It is still incorrect masking and actionable with a warning or points. But, it is not outing.

The zero tolerance comes into play if a retard posts the number incorrectly and it unintentionally leads to a member here. It is outing. The posters intentions are irrelevant. Thus, zero tolerance.

Genuine question assuming it's not "need to know"- How is the relationship between a member and the number determined?
