We've been through this. Someone posted a link showing the Australian % was fabricated bull shit. A medical director stated that, realized he'd misspoke, and corrected himself a few minutes later. Then the anti-vaxxers or foreign operatives who post on social media (Chinese, Russian, Iranian?) got hold of it and edited it so it sounds like 99% of people hospitalized in New South Wales were fully vaccinated. Which is absurd considering only 14% were fully vaccinated at the time.

The latest figures from the Israeli Ministry of Health indicate the COVID vaccine is 39% effective in preventing infection and about 90% effective in preventing hospitalization. Which is the point of the original post. We pro-vaxxers who are masking up are doing this for the disbelievers. Kobi Haviv's comment, that 85% to 90% of hospitalizations are occurring in the vaccinated, is potentially troubling, because it's current. But it's anecdotal and how do we know it's true? The interview where he allegedly said that is in Hebrew. He may be a lockdown lover who's exaggerating. Still, given that over 85% of Israeli adults are vaccinated, and given that hospitalizations are around 650 compared to 2240 at the peak in January, and given the downside to getting vaccinated is minimal, this doesn't prove your point if true. The Israeli's reaction to this has been to give 3rd shots, and over 1/3rd of people over 60 have received boosters so far.

Gibraltar peaked at 118 cases per day in January. It's now at 18 and falling. I didn't see data for hospitalizations in Gibraltar or would quote that. Since March 14, 2021, only one person has died of COVID in Gibraltar. About 5 per day were dying at the peak in January.

Iceland is consistent with the original post. New cases are close to an all time high. There are only 10 people hospitalized though, down from 75 at the peak in November. Only one person has died in Iceland from COVID this year. Thirty died in 2020. Iceland has been open to tourism for quite a while. The high vaccination rate made lockdowns a mute point.

This is true for the dengue fever vaccine. It's not an issue for COVID vaccines. And nobody's saying every few weeks or few months. Six months is what's Pfizer is speculating may be desirable.

I'm will absolutely take the next booster shot as soon as it's ready and I'll take the one after that and the one after that should I live that long and I will have absolutely no sympathy what so ever for those who chose not to and I will continue to champion their right not to get vaccinated and not to wear a mask.

I'll do me, you guys do you and may the best man be the last man standing.
OK, I disagree Hedonist. I feel for the old, the fat and the diabetic. And younger, healthier people who end up with long haul syndrome.

However I ask you to consider the effect of COVID on our health care system and our economy. If we lick this we're all better off. We may not have won the economic war against China, but we will have won one more battle. Unless they start buying or are able to replicate our vaccines in which case it will be a draw.

Every 6 months?????????? And you can still get sick????? Still end up in a hospital?????? What are the long term ramifications?????? Nobody knows. Go right ahead. I’ll take my chances with Ivermectin or HCQ. With a side of zinc and vitamin D.

Dude we fucked up and destroyed the economy for no reason. Covid didn’t destroy it, stupid politicians did. The best way to lick it is to turn off the tv (or if Sapper is an actual Sapper he could blow up the networks) and go back to living a normal life. The only reason elites want to shut things down, choke school kids, etc is because it keeps the people in line. If you think they actually give AF about your health you’re very naive.

There’s no way the infection rate numbers are accurate because most people who are “infected” show no symptoms and aren’t counted. .02% is likely too high.
Your belief is hard to square with excess deaths. 500,000 more people died in America in 2020 than in 2019, and only 346,000 of those deaths were attributed to COVID. See the table Dilbert posted from the Journal of the American Medical Association:

https://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p...82&postcount=8

If anything we've probably undercounted the number of COVID deaths.

The people who control the presidency, the Senate, the House, the governorship of Pennsylvania, and the city of Pittsburgh right now disagree with you. Give them an excuse and they might try to impose more lockdowns, in Pennsylvania. I don't think that's going to happen in Texas, at least where I live. Anyway if enough of the citizenry voluntarily gets vaccinated and uses masks and social distancing when appropriate the politicians will never have the excuse.

I could give AF what they disagree with. The only reason this even started was because they scared tf out of Trump with those bullshit projections. There’s no reason whatsoever to go batshit crazy over a bug that most will never know they have and the ones that do are fine 99.9% of the time. We’ve become a nation of pussies.

You could make that argument about people who are afraid to get vaccinated.

99.9% of the people who get symptomatic COVID don't do fine.

ADE is suspected in MRNA vaccines as well. Nobody should submit to a Vaccine every six months especially one without a track record. You can do what you want. I just don't see the value of a Vaccine that frequent. They should concentrate on a treatment that is useful when people actually get sick, vaccinated or not.

Governor Wolf and the Tranny stuffed sick elderly into nursing homes to die like Cuomo and 3 other governors. And you want us to listen to them??????

I have to ask in all seriousness if you don't understand math. If the population grows and death rates remain static... guess what there will be more deaths year over year. 346K dead due to COVID... Should be more accurately stated 346 K died w/ COVID... lord knows that if you fell off a ladder and died and had the Wuhan Flu, it was chalked up as a COVID death. We've seen the actual numbers go down by a third after audits... that 346K may be more like 200K. Regardless 346,000 out of 330,000,000 is .1% of the population.... Yup lets destroy the economy to avoid the deaths of .1%

Why aren't the borders closed to illegals if the situation is so dire that we need to vax everyone?

The people who keep saying this is an emergency sure aren't acting like it's an emergency... they just keep telling us to shut-up and do as we are told.
