Examples of Class and Knot Class
This is classy. It shows an understanding of the essence of class.

I was curious what people think of this term. What makes a person classy or to have class, or high-class?
Is it the name you chose here on eccie? Is it how you were born and raised? Is it having money? Is it dressing nicely? Is it wearing heels? Is it spending money extravagantly? Is it something you can eventually grow into? It is how you behave? Is it attitude?
I'm just a small town girl. I wear jeans, nikes and tshirts in the winter. I wear capri's, summer dresses and flip flops or wedge heels in the summer.
I don't have a lot of money, but I do have a home, car, can buy things if I need them or occasionally if I want them.
I'm just taking a look at myself, I suppose. I'm thinking about the type of person I am and the type of provider I am.
I think having class shows in the things you say, how you act with and toward others, how you treat others, and how you portray yourself.
I'm just really looking at myself here, and have been curious as to HOW a person can be deemed classy or having class, or if you just exude that descriptor.
I welcome all thoughts and opinions as to how you view someone as being classy or having class.

This is classy and well-written.

This isn't classy. The last sentence is an unnecessary slap at the OP.

This is classy. It emphasizes the importance to the Golden Rule which is the basis of all classy behavior.

There are a number of classy hookers, both externally by their looks, manners and demeanor and internally by their good hearts and kind dispositions. They are the true delights of the Hobby.

I didn't say hookers with poise/class didn't exist. Saying classy hooker is like saying classy pornstar. It sounds ridiculous imho.
And btw I'm not foolish. What an escort says in public does not say anything to me about her level of class.
Everything posted on a pmb is an ad. Money is the motive. I have seen ladies put on one hell of an act in public but show a different face in private/provider board/their personal life.
Class is 24/7 and It's not displayed on an escort message board where faux flirting goes on, fake names, fake personas exist etc. Unless you know that person personally, you don't know if he or she is classy or not and to say you do is pretentious. Classy is how you carry yourself in real life, how you conduct yourself behind closed doors, how you treat your friends and loved ones..etc
Anyone that measures class by hooker advertising board posts is well... You know.

Sure we throw digs at each other from time to time but no one is better than anyone here.
Ask society. To them, we (both hobbyist and providers) are low class scum of the earth. See? Depends on who you ask.

My Point , Precisely!
So why should any of us care about a simple term, like "classy"?
I think, quite often... saying someone is "classy", simply means we don't consider them as lowlifes.
Is it okay to describe someone as a " no-class lowlife "? Yeah , I'd say so!

Zarah, as always, you know how to light up even the most innocent of topics. Here are my thoughts about what you said.

You used the phrase "classy hooker" in a demeaning way, which I assume applies to you as well, and I disagreed with you. I know more than a few ladies who are (1) hookers and (2) classy. It may sound silly, but if a hooker is classy, how else should she be described?
And btw I'm not foolish. What an escort says in public does not say anything to me about her level of class.

I take this to mean that we should not pay attention to the OP because she is just posting to promote herself? I guess that is true for all the ladies who post on this or any other board: it's just to drum up business. While that may be true, that doesn't mean we should discard content that is thoughtful and well-reasoned. Most of us can separate the wheat from the chaff.
Class is 24/7 and It's not displayed on an escort message board where faux flirting goes on, fake names, fake personas exist etc. Unless you know that person personally, you don't know if he or she is classy or not and to say you do is pretentious. Absolutely true, but one of the basic tenets of the Hobby is that you don't get involved with the "real person". Your involvement is limited to the woman whose job is to promote the fantasy of romance and connection. Your worth as a "real" person means nothing go me as a monger except to the extent that it influences your professional persona and performance.
Anyone that measures class by hooker advertising board posts is well... You know.
As I said, earlier, most of us can separate the wheat from the chaff and over time the "real" person can be discerned from the content of hooker advertising board posts. But, when that is all that we have to work with, we will make our judgments on the material that is available to us.
The OP's initial post really seemed to touch upon the essence of class, and if she is smart enough to use that to promote her business and reputation, bully for her.

Hey Annie! Great question! I think class, in a general sense, goes as much to how someone treats other people as anything else. Personally, I don't think I would attach the "classy" moniker to someone - no matter how well dressed, well educated, or wealthy - if they were mean spirited, used others openly for their personal benefit, or took delight in hurting others in any way. "Classy" people tend to serve those around them, openly and happily looking for ways to make others lives better. People see this once or twice and think "that's a really nice person." They see it over and over, as the way the person is, and they say "that's real class!"
Thanks for the thought...

I think it's a quiet, unquestioned confidence in oneself. When you feel good about yourself and believe in yourself, it shows! When you feel good about yourself, you treat others with respect, which is very high class.
To me low class, is not respecting others and their views. Different strokes for different folks. It's being graceful in a stressful situation, calm and collected during a crisis, and KNOWING "this too shall pass".
Just believe in yourself because you are special and unique.

I don't understand this statement. Wouldn't 24/7 include the time a person is posting on a message board?
