Reviews are a necessary part of their business as it means referrals. Referrals are the best and most effective form of advertising.

Who? There would be no mistaking it, if I were bashing.

I can read and think. Try to keep up. As was said before, not everything is about you. He didn't quote you, so why would you think he was talking about you, just because his post followed yours?

This also helps.

Why don't you just let johnnieknox answer?
He can't.

Plus, what you quoted while stating "its not all about you" was when I said "When did I bash the retired girls? Did I miss something?". Now it's my previous post.
That is true, and when I said "it's not all about you", it really isn't. He wasn't accusing you of bashing anyone.

WTH! He-he, Did you wake up at 4 am today and say: who am going to fuck with today? You sound like a sour-puss. Get off my ass dude. I can talk about myself If I want; as I rarely do (see my little 200 something post over there. I was giving my side of the what I think about retiring for myself. And since I was talking aaaaaaaall about myself, how would I be bashing other providers?
If I sound like a sour-puss, you may sound like a self-involved, insecure little girl. I have no desire to be on your ass, relax. I never said you didn't have input into the thread. I just found some humor in your posts.

P.S.
I'm sure none of those some 2000+ post are never, ever, ever all about you. You rude guys are going to learn to stop trying to pick on me. I already stated you are not going to run me off. So stop trying. I've got quite a bit of rapport with many members in the hobby and great members of the civi community so I'm not worried about 1 meanie.
Oh, I'm a egotistical, elitist, asshole. No mistake about it. I'm sure there are plenty of posts where I show how self-centered I am. I just don't follow those up with statements like "I never said or tried to act like everything is about me".

Us "rude guys"? Who are these rude guys? Do you have a list?

Why would I try to run you off? This might be shocking to you, but I don't think about you enough to have a plan to "run you off".

Still sucks to know you contributed to someone breaking down. I won't be writing anymore without their permission.

Well it would be sad if providers saw this business as something permanent rather than the means to achieve something else, or a stepping stone. I do believe it takes good skills to be a provider, and it is a job like any other; however, it does come with its risks, and I'm sure it takes an emotional toll as well. I'm glad to have been with the providers I've met, and I'm also glad that they have made decisions that they thought were best for themselves. There's nothing wrong with being more than what you are and achieving personal growth. Having goals in mind is a good thing, and I'm happy for those providers that have decided to pursue them. But it is also sad that they are retiring as well, because the services they provide are so important, and not all providers are the same.

In your opinion, you mean. Topshelf Tess had a "no review" policy for years and from my understanding she did just fine. Reviews, while potentially helpful, are not "necessary."

Hmmmm if my history of hookerdom serves me correct, once Tess was established in the community, she was able to do this.

There are a few ladies who have never put an ad after their welcome wagon initial post. They had some awesome initial reviews and now just see regulars and referred johns.

If reviews, are not needed, explain why the review sections of ECCIE are the most popular. Like the weight scale... numbers don't lie.....

I was reading the other post in this forum about a retiring provider's thoughts and feelings.

I personally feel that us guys do not have the power to run any provider off the board. Over the years, if she bottles up her feelings and chooses to leave - well, it is completely her decision. To claim "she was compelled, and running off was her only option" is simply not accepting responsibility for oneself.

However, I can relate to the OP and most of the responses (both male and female). I also would like to emphasize that the retiring provider's feelings are her feelings, and they stand - no matter how one justifies or argues her points.

That being said, I do have to admit, at least for myself, that toning it down is in order. I've seen the term hooker thrown around on this board left and right. Years ago, when I joined the "other" RIP board, I remember it bothering me to see providers openly referred to as hookers. But years of exposure and weathering has made me insensitive to the term, and I too am guilty.

No woman I know appreciates being called a hooker, let alone be treated with contempt or disrespect.

So I promise to do may part, and tone it down. What needs to be said can be said with a bit of tact, even if I feel that he/she could use a slap in the face.

While we are seeing several local ladies retiring, I am also seeing new intros in the welcome wagon. I also noticed more that the usual number of visiting ladies from Dallas.

Not sure, but I shrug it off as the natural cycle of things. Women are being more open with their own sexuality, the slow economy may be causing some providers to look at out of town opportunities, and of course... must make mention of the all-important attraction to the quick cash potential.

I say stay low volume while you are in the hobby. I see less guys in a week then my friends do(1-2 and usually just massage), and they are not providers.

I understand ladies come and go. Such is life. I have had to step out once or twice too. I will say this though....

I am a well known local provider. I have had the blessing of meeting some of the best ladies in Austin. When they leave I feel it. It is difficult for me to find a great lady to play with. Bi, skills, personality, looks....the total package. When I do, I tend to get close with them. When they leave I feel it. I miss them but am happy for them. And the hunt begins again.

When I had to take a break I missed the community. Truly. There are many things that are addictive for me here. I get alot from this realm and will take many friends with me when I leave. I have been fortunate enough not to have had many bad experiences in my time here and hope that continues.

New girls will always come. I was new once. Maybe one of them will be the next legend one day. Maybe they won't. Maybe they will make a career here maybe they will just finish college and leave.

But for me, I do not feel at this time that this realm has negatively effected me emotionally or physically. Infact, it has done the opposite. I feel challenged to stay in shape. I feel that it has brought out a sexy side in me that I cherish. It makes me want to finish learning belly dancing so I can WOW my clients one day. It has brought out "All that is woman" in me and I love that.

For the beautiful women that have moved on....I wish you the best. Don't be ashamed or down. You contributed alot to peoples lives while you were here. You explored a side of you that some never will. Embrace it for what it was. A stepping stone.

Sorry...that was loooong but a very good topic.

Whispers, I am impressed.

To clear up any possibly remaining confusion (and to possibly open some eyes), that post was about Whispers.

Really? I haven't "bashed" anyone that is retired....

I can't think of how I was promoting myself.....

As to feeling sorry for a lady left alone..... You probably should have been there with her.....

Then again.... We are all a bunch of selfish bastards a times aren't we?

Whispers don't bother getting into it with people who don't get it.
