It is not breaking up...it just can not win with the Tea version.
Rubio can capture Latinos voters, just like Bush did...unless ya'll beat him to death in the primary. That is why Rove is putting you off to the side next election cycle! He is going to do to you what William Buckely did to the John Birch Society.

WTF are you jabbering about ?
Romney got only 27% of the latino vote......worse than McCain's 31% and Bush's 34%.......Had Romney gotten a higher percentage of latinos he would be president............a Repubican can't get the Latino vote while campgaing to down size government...........it is one or the other.....
So Rove throws the conservatives of the party overboard in hopes of picking up latinos...it ain't gonna happen in sufficient numbers !
You need to stop with your bullshitting...it won't fly here.

Reagan did! You Tea Nuts are fucking up the GOP party, that is why you will be cast aside like your earlier version was, The John Birch Society. The GOP is not breaking up, it is getting rid of baggage.
http://articles.latimes.com/1988-11-...tino-community
California Republicans realized that they had made inroads in the historically Democratic Latino community when President Reagan was reelected in 1984. Pollsters estimated that Reagan received 47% of the Latino vote in California, where only about 20% of the registered Latino voters are Republicans. Two years later, independent California pollster Mervin Field found that 46% of registered Latinos voted to reelect Gov. George Deukmejian. A September NBC poll of California Latinos estimated that 37% will support Bush for president. And if the Republicans work at it, says Texas GOP pollster Lance Tarrance, 50% of the Latino community could be voting Republican by the year 2000.

Because my side stands with the Constitution, not "fundamental change".

The GOP will never get the majority of the Black and Hispanic vote without winning the contest for who can offer the most generous welfare benefits and the most rewards for coming here illegally. That's a contest we can't win and shouldn't participate in.

That does not change the fact that Reagan got Latinos to vote for him while lying about reducing the size of the Federal Government.
Debate that point.
My point is that you Tea Nuts are disrespectful of Latino's and they know it. That disrespect comes out in the primaries and you then pay the price in the national.

That is misguided but as long as you continue to believe that, then Rove will continue to marginalize you. All you have to do to see the fate of the Tea Party is to google John Birch Society.

Regan got the Latino vote because he promised amnesty. That won't fly any longer within the GOP.................the conservative faction will not buy into another phony amnesty for border security pledge ! The one like Rubio is proposing...
Amnesty doesn't buy the GOP hispanic loyalty !
Reagan got 37% and passed amnesty. We showed the Hispanics we love 'em, we cherish 'em, we care about 'em. We granted them amnesty. We gave citizenship to three-point-some-odd million of them in 1986. The next presidential election is George H. W. Bush in 1988. The percentage of the Hispanic vote that he got two years after amnesty was 30%. So '84, Reagan: 37% Hispanic vote. Again, very quickly : in '84, Reagan, 37% Hispanic vote in a landslide. Two years later, he grants amnesty to three million illegals. And in two more years, George H. W. Bush only gets 30% of the Hispanic vote. Two years after amnesty, the Republicans lose 7% of the Hispanic vote they had prior election. So where is this empirical evidence that reaching out and granting amnesty or pathway to citizenship or whatever works? There isn't any evidence that it accomplishes what the Republicans are dreaming that it will accomplish.[/INDENT]

The evidence is in Reagan's election win!
Rubio is trying to get elected, he can run on this issue. Now if you want to keep the latino vote, you will need to fund education for them. You are going to have to treat them with the same respect you do poor whit folks (of which there are plenty) But that is another issue.

The evidence of what ?
The evidence is overwhelming that Latinos will vote for an pro amnesty canddiate but once that issue is off the table they will flee to the party that promises more and bigger handouts !

Just imagine the change in the political game if white people voted in block for the GOP the way blacks vote for the Dimo's. Whites are 63% of the population. Ninety five percent of sixty three pecent is SIXTY PERCENT. The GOP would win every presidential election and the vast majority of seats in both houses, even if the rest of the country always voted for the Dimo's.
Maybe someday the sleeping giant will wake up.
