What was your favorite muscle car?

I’m a huge fan of the C2 corvettes. Anything past a 1970 C3 corvette does nothing for me. Although I do like the new C8 even tho it looks like those spaghetti cars.

Back then, an early model 65 Mustang.
289, 4 barrel, 4 on floor trans.
Had that for a few years, studiedly sold it.
I had rebuilt the 289 (Fords 302 was based on that, then the 5 ltr).
and swapped off the factory carb for a Holly.
Friend had an SS, I could always beat that.
Another had a GTO, only time I beat him he missed a shift.
That was a long time ago. Fun trip down memory lane
Still have the service manual.

Nowadays the only fun I have is in ECG's 16 z06.
She makes me fill it with gas every week though, no prob.

62 Corvette. Bought new a 2007 Z06. I'd much prefer a 62. Liked most of the muscle cars of the 60's up to 70.

62 is a cool year for Corvettes. Especially a fuelie. And a trunk comes in handy!!!!

I have something like $75,000.00 I paid for a 2007 corvette. I'm considering doing a 62 If I could convince myself I could do it with no maintenance issues, I may.

A couple years into my 2007 the electronic door openers from the inside quit working, it did not have mechanical door openers, push button. I had to pop the back and crawl out the back to get out. I was able to have it fixed then but maybe not today. Point being when the 2007 is 20 years old you may not be able to get some parts or find someone who could fix it, I sold it with 1,200 miles on it.

62s are Pretty simple cars compared to today. Although some parts might be hard to come by. I know original Fuel Injection units and parts are sparse and expensive. But 327 parts are available if you go for the lesser engine. Most of what I’ve read is the Rochester Injection unit was very finicky and not worth it. The 327/340hp carb engine was the better choice.
