This country offers them the best option. So to them it is not a bullshit job.
They get real jobs with fake SSn.
Legal immigrants come over here and do so called shitty jobs. There are legal immigrants picking the Strawberries you enjoy. Legal immigrants that are educated , do not. You are confusing the two.

And that's not true about the legal ones. I live in El Paso. Legal immigrants are all around me in all kinds of jobs. Legal immigrants have no problem except the same problems as everybody else looking for work. If some are picking strawberries, it's cause nobody can find a job these days. That's why they keep crying about the unemployment rate all the time on the news. Not just immigrants are hurting. Atleast the legal ones can say something. That's where the problem is. The legal immigrant is picking strawberries for 7.50 to 8 bucks an hr, while the illegal is doing the same thing for 3.50 to 4 bucks. They can't say anything but be happy with their crackers..

I wonder if the fact that 9 million workers have left the workforce since O'Blunder took office, (giving us the lowest workforce participation rate in 40 years), has anything to do with the gap widening. Kinda hard to close or even sustain the income gap when you have no income. It's not the rich who are hurting, it's the ubiquitous "middle class" O'Blunder pleads for that is getting hurt, which pleases him greatly because it pushes them ever closer to government dependence.

Do you understand the ramifications of globalization? In a nutshell it means that Capital has more access to more labor. If you can not figure out WTF that means...
My point to 2Dogs was that he mostly blames labor, illegal immigrants. Yet he enjoys all the things that cheap labor provide. Nobody wants to pay more for a meal, yet they bitch about illegals, JD and the like want our military to receive a pay raise yet they want to pay less in taxes.
We have a ignorant base of people that want two things that just don't jive. If you want more, you should be willing to pay more.

The true criminal enterprises are the ones who hire illegal aliens, knowing they have fake SSN's, and then compete with an extreme unfair advantage over decent people from honest businesses that only hire legal Americans trying to feed their family. People who hire illegal aliens should be put in jail like other mobsters.

Yea, I never understood this mentality.
Do they want the poor to be poorer? In America we are a wealthy country so our poor might not be the same as poor in India or Africa.
It is all a matter of perspective.

What about people that fuck illegal Asian immigrants?
What about people that buy the houses built by them?
What about people that shop at the stores that hire them?
Why is it legal to import goods from places that employ cheap labor?
Why can you never see the bigger picture, the tree's keep getting in your way?

I think it is a number of factors, and yes, millions of people are still struggling with unemployment. In some states its worse than others. Some people have been trying to get a job for over a year, and some folks have simply given up after being unemployed for more than a year. There just aren't enough jobs to go around out there.
In addition, those who are "working poor" have more than one low wage job and are still struggling to make ends meat. The minimum wage has not been increased since 2009 and it isn't even properly indexed to keep up with inflation. So there are more people than ever that are reliant on government programs such SNAPS food program.
Our baby boomers are now becoming our elderly, and there has been an increase in our aging population. These folks generally have a harder time getting a job, and with food prices and gas prices, and rent prices soaring, many of the elderly are forced to find some kind of work because their SS checks are not enough to live on.

I wonder if you understand business cycles, that wave was coming before Obama took office. I said at the time that it would be a slow recovery because of the depth of the recession.
Globalization is the killer of middle class in this country. It helps poor countries gain a middle class and rich countries lose some.
No different than poking a hole in a dam or many holes....at some point the water will equalize on both sides.
The smart folks will learn to ride that wave ...Tea turds will bitch and moan about the inevitable. Kinda like the GWarmers do. Not much difference in the two groups.

Yea, have any of you read about what is happening to the elderly poor right now? There have been some investigations on a rigged tax recovery program in some states, essentially taking a tax lien for as little as 4.00 dollars and selling it to debt collectors who then charge enormous fees and interest, demanding that the person pay up or then they sell the home under forclosure.
See these articles: DCs elderly residents losing their home in suspicious tax rigging scheme
Lose a home over a $6.00 tax bill?

Or maybe it has something to do with Republicans getting exactly what they've been demanding for...well....my entire lifetime.

You can just copy and paste something from Wikipedia and pretend you wrote it yourself, like you have been known to do. Others may respond with original thoughts.
