I like this thread!
EA I know you've jotted down everything so far.
Here's a very simple and quick way to make a pasta alfredo casserole that will last you a few days. Take two boxes of Kraft or similar macaroni(or ANY type of pasta around a pound), a bag of mixed vegetables with broccoli, some already cooked fajita chicken or beef(I prefer chicken), and two jars of Ragu Alfredo Sauce
Cook the pasta, steam the veggies, and microvace the meat at the same time. When the pasta is done(after you strained it and added butter, milk and the Ragu sauce) pour in the veggies and the meat. Season with Tony Chachere's or whatever seasoning of your choosing, stir, and let simmer for about 5 minutes. This meal takes about 20 minutes tops to prepare. I invited a female friend over for dinner one day and she LOVED it!
Just one more recipe for the single man. Works for me everytime.

Why not "steam" the vegetables and the meat at the same time in same "pot"..... even put the pasta on top of the veg-meat mix and steam them?
One pot, one lid, one steam basket, one flame or one element.
It's a friggin .... "caserole" and it all ends up "blended" in the end!

That may work! I'm gonna try that one day.
EA if you get really lazy and don't want to spend time preparing you can always get those Stouffer's dinner bags. Everything's already in them.

What are your favorite foods? I have cooked for 7 chefs and have 150 cookbooks. I study recipes in my spare time. When I have the time, I cook up several entrees with different sides. I would get like five or six of those plastic divided dinner plates with snap-on top covers. I would put half in the frig and the rest in the freezer. I would take sandwiches and wraps with me when I don't time leave to eat.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.
I thought Mila was gonna help me out but I think she forgot about me lol.

I have several cookbooks that talk using 3, 4, or 5 ingredient to make dish. You can got to the fresh meat market at grocery store, get like 1/2 pound of meat and a couple of chicken breasts.

Keep all that frozen.... and pull it out when you want it.
Get a large container of olive oil for 15 to 20 bucks ... good for a month.
Put a dab of oil in a small frying pan with water, put in the "meat" frozen, cover with a lid, and after it is on its way to cooking toss on a frozen bag of vegetables. Cover and in 15 to 20 minutes eat. $2 to $3 a meal.
You do not need to be a Julia Child's or Emeril Lagasse to eat!
Simple is good.
