pelosi's face, and her body's actions, as she sat behind the president last night, is worthy of a study in psychotic breaks from reality, insolence and, if not always body language, then body and face language

forget for a moment the waxy pallor of her mein

its partly the fixed superiority and condescension of her pursed lipped smile

she stood at appropriate times and even did clap

but her body gave, in constant fear of anyone's misinterpretation, the message she was standing and clapping about something else and no never in response to trumps speech

she mouthed words to the air perhaps even to real people,

its unknown whether or not the people mouthed back or even recognized her signaling or even if there was a real person she was signaling to

she clapped as if to recognize others in some sort of perky greeting

and these detached moments of hers just happened to occur when others were standing and clapping in response to the speech

her message seemed to be she cant help it if the speech interfered with her personal reason for trying to gain someone's attention by standing and recognizing someone by clapping off into the distance

her actions reminded me of an awkward teenager at a school dance, in self conscious awareness of her pitiful aloneness and that she wishes she either were elsewhere or popular and to cover up she time and again waves and smiles to no one in particular until her mind develops a distorted or nonexistent sense of objective reality.

I only watched a bit of the speech, but I was wondering whether they had send pelosi through a metal detector before allowing her to sit down.

I do not believe that we should have trust in her mental stability. If given the opportunity, it is clear she would be violent with Trump, and I believe that martyrdom is not out of the question.
