You do realize it is 2021, not 2017
Another epic fail on your part
You do realize that we don't have complete data on the per capita murder rate for 2021, being that the year is only half way over? Is your ignorance willful? The available data simply does not fit your fear mongering false narrative. If you dive further into the data, you will see that most of the states with above average murder rates per capita are actually controlled by republicans.

It appears your ignorance is willful. After all, you are the one posting 4 year old data. And ignoring the initial post which focused on CITIES and all crime - yes, that is right, big cities, which is where most of the Democrats have done their damage with their Defund the Police and Soft on Crime policies
I guess you think all these people are willfully ignorant and fear mongering too. You are indeed the leader of the Cult of Ignorance you go on and on about
“A 59% majority of Americans believe crime is an “extremely” or “very” serious problem in the U.S., according to the Post-ABC poll, an increase from 51 percent in Gallup polling last fall and the highest level since 2017. The sentiment crosses party lines”
The most recent set of data that the FBI has published on this matter is from 2019, and once again the facts don't fit your fearful, inaccurate narrative. Are you willfully ignoring the facts? You've demonstrated a likeliness to do that, time and time again. I've shown you 2017 and 2019. The states with the highest murder rates are controlled by republicans. To say anything to the contrary, without statistical evidence, is simply a lie. Anyone with half a brain can understand why crime would be higher in a year when people are interacting with each other a lot more, in comparison to a year when they were shut down, quarantined, curfew, etc., so that bit of information is completely irrelevant, as it does not show a meaningful downward shift in the murder rates in those most murderous red states.
So for the three most recent years that we have complete data for, Republican controlled states have had the highest murder rates. The facts don't fit your fear mongering narrative.
What's also interesting is that murder rates rose in a lot of those red states between 2017 and 2019 during Trump's presidency. It appears that his rhetoric was really just a bunch of hot air.

Oh look - what a surprise - you are still willfully ignorant. ignoring that the discussion focused on CITIES and all crime - yes, that is right, big cities, which is where most of the Democrats have done their damage with their Defund the Police and Soft on Crime policies. Although I expect no less from the leader of the Cult of Ignorance you go on and on about

Now you've changed your tune since you've been shown that 2017 was far from a one year anomaly, and was actually part of a larger trend.
With a few exceptions, crime, and especially violent crime is regulated by federal and state law, rather than local law. In particular, murder is either a state or federal crime, or both. Local ordinance typically has little to do with it. States choose how do deal with murderers, some opting for the death penalty and some not. It's quite fair to blame the state legislators in those republican states for having such shocking per capita murder rate. The facts show that republican state legislators often have trouble doing anything about their high per capita murder rates.
As for your complaint about the cities, which is a complaint that's been echoed by many racists, to those of us with a brain, it seems obvious that where you have more people, you'd have more overall violent crime. It's a lot harder to commit a violent crime against someone who's miles away from you. Yet the fact remains that according to the available data, republican state legislators have had a harder time stifling violent crime in their states in recent years than democrat state legislators have.

No Skippy, read the Original Post in the thread - this has always been about the crime rate in Big Cities. You are the only one trying to change the subject posting 4 year old out of date data on states because you can't refute the facts.
And no one gives a fuck which law governs violent crime. The 92 people shot, 16 people killed, and 6 kids among the wounded in Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot's don't give a fuck which law governs them being shot or killed. Because they were still shot or killed thanks to the Democrats Defunding the Police and Soft on Crime Policies
And as far as your racist diatribe, tell that to those dead and wounded in Chicago this past weekend, the majority of which were African American. I am sure they will take heart on you spreading your racist lies about them
And once again you've completely ignored the facts. The most recent and complete data that the FBI has released shows that republican state legislators have a harder time controlling high murder rates compared to democrat state legislators. Sorry, but your Fox News screen shot does not rival as a source of information, the complete and most recent data that we have from the FBI in regards to murder rate. The fact is that in recent years, Republican state legislators have a harder time controlling the murder rate in their states than Democrat state legislators do. Of course, as a Trumpster, it's your first amendment right to completely ignore the facts in favor of your false narrative.
Furthermore, as I've already said, the vast majority of Murders are regulated by state law and some are regulated by federal law. None are regulated by local law.
BTW, which police departments in Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas, or Tennesee were defunded previous to the 2017-2019 data? Your narrative is false.
% of voters who called violent crime a "major crisis"
57% of Rs
52% of Ds
70% of African-American voters
The increased salience of crime, as the rate of homicides and other incidents of violence skyrocket across the country, is now a threat to Democrats’ congressional majorities in next year’s midterms. The party’s left-wing activists advanced “defunding the police” as a campaign slogan throughout much of 2020
No wonder DNC apologists like 1Pittsburgh are trying to spin, spin, spin and pretend this is not an issue caused by the Democrats.
The states with the top per capita murder rates are all controlled by republicans. That's the pertinent fact that the delusional ignore. Murder is typically governed by state law.

I have asked you before to quit trying to hijack this thread. Read the original post - this has always been about the crime rate in Big Cities. You are the only one trying to change the subject posting 4 year old out of date data on states because you can't refute the facts.
