I am one of those who will not visit a casino. I lived in Shreveport all my young life. Have not lived there for some 30 years now. When I am in Shreveport visiting I ALWAYS see someone I have not seen in decades, they recognize me, I have no clue who they are. Then there are people I know from other places who also visit casinos. Since I have no intention of messing up a 35 year marriage, I avoid casinos and really not too comfortable with lobby entrance upscale hotels, but hey, life is not without its risk.
So for me I see no one in a casino. Just explaining my position.
Last thing I need is someone seeing me across a lobby and saying "hey, what are you doing in town?" Always have an explanation ready when I hobby but who knows how believable it is, never had to use it.
So no casino for the ole cowboy.

Wow! I'm glad I read this. I'm planning to visit in the next week or two and had no idea a casino hotel was an issue. I will avoid. Thanks for the heads-up!

Honey....not all of us have problems with casinos. It's just a personal thing, like blondes vs brunettes and spinners vs voluptuous. Merely an opinion....and everybody's got one.

Like Dallas, I've never encountered any negatives providing from a casino. It's a win win for me. I'm a huge NLTH player, so my accommodations, food, etc is always comped.
Some of the casino hotels do not have cameras on the hotel floors themselves.
And some, after 11pm you have to show your room key to security prior to getting on the elevator. Which is fine, as I do not provide after that hour anyway.

I'm a poker fanatic, cash games & tournies! I use all my comps to my advantage! I play just about everywhere from Niagra to Tunica!

I spent an entire two weeks comped at Tunica Casinos & my male friend that went with me couldn't believe it! Lol Everything was free including his cigarettes! Lol We moved every four days as some comps you have to break-up but still!

Of course in the grand scheme of things you'll never break the house, but nothing beats a free suite! Lol

Now I do not 'work' the casino or its bars. Just not my style though I've heard some do. But I wouldn't suggest it. And there's usually a separate entrance to the hotel itself, so a client doesn't have to walk through the casino itself to see you.

Everytime I stay in a casino,I have NO problems....but then again I have a "routine" and "couple discrete casinos" ready for use!

Last time I was there,I hit the slots & won 380 bucks extra! lol

as long as you have fun in your hobby...it is all good!!

Free rooms, hitting my gutshot straight draw on the river with 5 players all-in, & a discreet liaison here and there. I'm like a kid in a candy store! Lol Work & Play at a casino for me the lines get blurred. It's all Fun!!
