Pascal's wager. A well-known apologist ploy. It's been absolutely ripped to shreds. There are so many points against it. Pascal must be turning over in his grave. You can read the link below, or don't, but this one point alone proves it's a crock of shit in regards to religion. It's a false dichotomy. It assumes there are only two outcomes; I believe in a christian god and go to heaven or I don't believe in a christian god and go to hell. If I choose to believe in the christian god in order to hedge my bets, I'm rejecting thousands of other possible gods and by doing that, I have just as much to lose as someone who doesn't believe in any god at all. The premise is false. It supposes the christian god is the only way to the afterlife, if there is such a thing, and that's false.

It proves you have to know which god is the right one when you make that choice or you're just as fucked as everyone else. Assuming there even IS a god. Which I don't. So what's the point? Don't tell me you believe an all-knowing 'being' created you, but fucked up so bad that he had to flood the earth and start over, kill his own son just to cover for original sin that neither you or I had anything to do with, so we could then spend our lives on our knees, worshipping him and thanking him for the privilege? That is some seriously twisted shit. And this god, his bible being the most important message to his people, left it in the hands of man, who made it so contradictory that no one within christianity itself can even agree on what it says? No evidence points to the existence, period.
