Whitey and righty get blamed for desertion and failure to submit to taxation. Failing to support the inner city is de facto evidence of racism. It can't be the residents own failings that create an unliveable and decaying ghetto, can it? Crime, dropouts, unemployment, drug dealing - that needs to be blamed on something other than the residents own pathologies, laziness, and irresponsibility - and we all know that liberals would have spent more money over the last 50 years if the stingy conservatives (like the ones in Texas callously holding on to the surplus) would just spend more money on education, head start, AFDC, Medicare and Medicaid, community colleges, anti -poverty initiatives, community organizations, anti-racism festivals and programs, midnight basketball, food stamps, and the thousand other enlightened liberal programs that receive so little support that the victims of the ghetto in Detroit suffer such grievous deprivation that is not their fault and someone should pay!
