About sharing tour schedules/contact info... Have you not noticed that most VP’s have a signature line that appears at the bottom when they send a PM to anyone.
Some include quotes, poetry, promos, websites, contact info, location and dates they are available.

As Paulie said it’s hard to keep up with travel schedules on so many platforms out there, especially when everyday life situations can change something that was previously planned.
Remember eccie guidelines allow a VP to post 1 weekly update and 1 weekend update every 7 days...a lot can happen within that amount of time.
The signature line can help be kept up-to-date on changes like these.

So... PM’ing a member on this site is what we were talking about.
Asking a member to be screened or have a date is where some players may have deliberately altered what was actually sent.

The reason for handles and screen names is for discretion. Not everyone is comfortable being a part of these excellent records that can be traced back to them. (Too much to lose)

Also, keep in mind, not all VPs are constantly traveling as much as you either.

Yes i do keep a long list of emails. I encourage people to make a hobby email. Many trust me with their personal email. They know their email has been saved and many ask to be added to my mailing list

Unfortunately I only have time to keep up on my mailing list when my other platforms are down. But I’ll have it in case shit hits the fan (again)

I’m also a huge advocate for references. Like the dozen + references you have requested from me in the past. Of course we all know our regulars and repeat clients well. But records are helpful to jog our memory on that one off client we saw months ago

Lastly if someone contacts me being shady - inappropriate, rude, unsafe, etc - right away I know to ignore the inquiry

Since I have joined ECCIE and began posting here, a few ladies have Private Messaged me.

Most of these PMs have been about things that I have said in threads.

In two cases, these PM conversations have led to long-running email conversations, and eventually, we have friended each other on FaceBook.

In both of these cases, these ladies live in states far removed from where I live. I have enjoyed the conversations and I see no harm in it.

I do not see this as 'crossing boundaries'.

As for me if a lady traveling to a new area contacting me privately would be okay as a one time thing.
Who knows, maybe I've been wanting to see her, but she is to far for my travels, and then she is coming to cities that I do business in., yes I would like to know she was planning to be there. It would give me the chance to see someone I had wanted to see but couldn't because of travel.

I think sending a PM is a great way to increase your business. Just don’t send generic PMs every other day.

I have no issue with getting a PM from a provider...especially if it is based off a comment or review I have done. Isn't that the reason we are here after all?
