I would guess the Admins are busy meeting with their lawyers to figure a plan to move forward. There’s close to 80 countries around the world that will not coperate with the US including China and Indonesia.

The US has zero power to pressure or influence those counties given it would impact their relationship with China. China holds as many cards as the US does in any fight. The US has zero leverage in the AsiaPAC region.

Many European countries will not cooperate with the US on FOSTA either. It would be different if you were talking about a Drug Lord, a murder, a international art thief, a bank robber, rapist, ect...

The EU is not going to waste police and legal system resources to help the US enforce a political agenda. If you’re going to send an international warrant to Germany looking to pursue a case involving paid sex between consenting adults, you’re going to get laughed at.

Canada is far better liked and far more respected in European Countries and Canada has a difficult time gaining any cooperation from European.

Europe absolutely hates and despises the US. All the stupidity from the Tump administration has killed any desire for Europe to easily cooperate with the US.

FOSTA-SESTA warrants from the US will be tossed in a pile and forgotten in Europe. That might be the real tragedy. There might actually be legitimate trafficking cases that’ll fall through the cracks because of the new laws.

Europe is not going to tie up it’s legal system with political shit from the US no matter how much the US gov stomps it’s feet.

Just shows how "brilliant", or deceitful our congress is, that they would try to sneak that through.
Yes and no. The retroactive language is in there. But, you are correct. It clearly violates the Ex Post Facto clause. The problem is sites will get closed down, people and entities will be prosecuted and it will take a long time before it is ruled unconstitutional.

Now, perhaps, the ACLU or some other group will come in and try to stop this, but it's not a sure thing by any means. If you don't believe the havoc that can happen before change, ask Tom Delay.

ACLU has already posted against the CLOUD Act and has tacitly recognized that sex worker rights are human rights.
