Meanwhile in the UK

UK pubs must hike the price of pint of beer to $23 or shut down as years of green energy policy predictably destroy the British working class.

California Faces High Risk of Electricity Blackouts on Labor Day

California faces a risk rolling blackouts on Labor Day amid a heat wave and record levels of electricity demand that the grid cannot meet thanks in part to a rush to renewable energy and the phasing out of fossil fuels and nuclear power in recent years.

The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) issued a new “Flex Alert” for Monday in which it expanded the hours in which it is asking consumers to avoid using major appliances and charging electric vehicles, and to set thermostats at 78 degrees.

Enjoy those rolling blackouts California !!!

State officials anticipate needing 48,817 megawatts of electricity Monday, which would leave the state with a 2,000 to 4,000 megawatt deficit, according to the California Independent System Operator.

Ho hum, nothing to see - just rolling blackouts in California

BREAKING: California’s grid operator has just issued a level 2 energy emergency alert, upgrading from level 1 issued earlier. @California_ISO is now advising Californians to “be ready for potential rotating power outages” this evening

REMINDER:

“Going green”
“Sustainable”
“Renewable”

These are words describing poor people starving to death in their beds. A billion of them. Or more. Those are the stakes of the “climate change” war

Yet you omit the why.

Record high temps that drove an all-time usage record. Transformers on the transmission side that aren't able to get cool enough overnight. Circuits that had to be taken offline for about 2 hrs for localized load shedding.

In Paolo Alto, about 1,700 customers affected...

No prolonged or widespread outages this weekend, either. You'll take lap anyway and pumo your fist, though.

Sad

Don't you just love how some ill informed people make excuses for California, land of the libtards, and the ridiculous libtard energy policies that result in actual rolling blackouts?

Despite the California grid operator’s assurances of “no rolling blackouts,” cities in the SF Bay Area indeed had rolling blackouts yesterday.

It really is laughable and beyond sad.
