So even without having any idea who the Democratic nominee for POTUS will be in 2020, why do you think Trump will be able to win Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania?

As a secondary question, do you foresee any states that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 turning red in 2020?

I expect Minnesota to come over with its 10 electoral votes.
I expect Nevada to come over with its 6 electoral votes.

An expression we often see on this board is "hijack", as in distracting from the intended subject of the original post. I suspect it is not intentional, but more a function of our nation's rising level of "attention deficit syndrome". Our president takes advantage of this national affliction each and every day with new and blathering tweets that mock and belittle people. If this board is an accurate reflection, and it sort of is, our nation has descended into a bunch of attention-lacking, name-calling adolescents. We suffer attention deficit syndrome on a mass scale. The media jumps from subject to subject, following our president with his whining, mocking tweets. What about nepotism and security clearances? Oh, that was last week's worry. What about Jared and Ivanka using unprotected emails for government business? Oh, that was, like, ten days ago. What about the conflict of interest with Saudi Arabia? That was last week's news. What about when Trump's communications team altered a video tape to make it look like a journalist manhandled an intern? Long forgotten. What about Trump's so-called doctor admitting that he did not write Trump's medical report, and that Trump actually wrote it? That was some yesteryear. And on and on and on and on and on.

LL is correct - the DPST party is now led by avowed "Socialists" who follow the Maduro line. Bernie ,AOC, and others rush to the Socialist Agenda.

You can dismiss my earlier points by blaming my watching CNN. Truth is, I rarely watch CNN. But the points I made are sarcastic examples of media and the public jumping all over the place regarding topics and issues. Attention deficit victims. I could do the exact same thing by pointing out this problem by identifying precise quotes from Trump himself -- dumb and crude stuff he seems to say and tweet on a daily basis. The media leaps around covering and over-analyzing the stupid quotes and tweets every day, just like he issues them every day. Over and over and over and over. Trump childishly badmouths McCain, Conway, Warren, everyone who doesn't agree with him or criticizes him. Trump foolishly declares that his own security institutions are less trustworthy than Putin. He denies having an affair with the porn star. He works closely with the National Inquirer to manipulate the news about himself. He backtracks on statements, claiming he meant a different word, whatever. He declares that he is an expert on drones, international security, cheeseburgers, architecture, mass transit, etc. etc. He boasts: "Nobody knows more about XXX than me." for countless subjects. Is this more fake news? My point is that we don't spend any time thinking about real issues anymore. It's all childish drama and petty baloney and the weirded out hyperbole of a ego-maniac who happens to be our president. We're all being reduced to bickering and drowning in attention deficit syndrome. I get the feeling that that's just what our president wants.

Thanks for the response. Colorado is becoming more Democratic year by year. Minnesota was close in 2016 but historically Democratic. Clinton won VA by 5%. Hard for Trump to overcome such a deficit. His approval rating in VA has gone from +8 in 2017 to -10 in 2019.

Certainly possible though.
