I suspect (because I obviously don't know everyone on here or even close to it) that what you just said applies to hobbyists as well, and clearly applies to me, plus to make an appointment away from the office with travel time entails a minimum of 3 hours away from work and usually around 4 hours depending on traffic. So when I make an appointment it's almost 1/2 of a normal work day to make that appointment. I've been stood up, cancelled, and delayed more than 20-30 minutes after I arrived in the area of the appointment.
I don't start a thread and I don't even mention it. It's life!
And I have work appointments cancelled and rescheduled for one reason or another, and I don't whine about it or threaten any action because of it. It's business! I communicate effectively with person with appointments with me and confirm the day of well in advance of the appointment to assure we are "on"~!
But, of course, I've been in business for myself longer than you have! And I don't consider myself to be "special"! That's life!
