Probably an embellishment. Going through 400,000 (rounding down) is spending, on average, 770 a week every week for 10 years. Adjust the 10 year time frame according to tenure in the hobby. Plus, if you're focused enough to work hard and accumulate 500k you're not likely to be so carefree with it to blow 80% of it on hobbying.

I lived in colombia, dr , brazil, phillipines and thailand. I wasted a lot of money in those places and also traveling so i cant complain.i have 4 kids in different countries i have to pay for as well. Right now i cant leave the country for reasons but hope to leave this hell hole soon. You are so right money just lasts longer in countries like those.
