And what decision did this barely 17-year-old minor make? A decision to defend himself against an armed stalker with no credentials or official capacity? Why do people not recognize that TM might have also assumed that he was fighting for his life against some creepy ARMED man who was hunting him?
I blame the prosecutors and the laws, not the jury.

His decision to buy Skittles, his decision to act like a thug, his decision to engage in anything with Zimmerman, etc. A good decision would have been to walk away and disengage, he decided not to ...

He was not in a threatening neighborhood. Sure there were signs everywhere about neighborhood watch. He had to have known he looked suspicious as hell.
Just stop and talk to the neighborhood watch officers like a normal human.

Can you quote your source that says one of them was Black? My sources and the media sources says one may be of Hispanic descent- I have yet not heard one source that says one of the jurors was African American.

The issue I am having with some of you who have commented were that TM was a thug etc and got what was coming to him. You guys easily want to label him when you don't know him- bottomline a 17 year unarmed young man got killed. Now if you want to label him take a look at the mirror- many of you guys who are commenting are married or perhaps in a relationship and yet you visit escorts- would it be ok with you if something bad was to happen to you and everyone label you as a no good adulterer, fornicator, cheater because let's face it society sees someone who is married that visits escorts as an immoral POS. What is an Escort got seriously hurt by a lunatic and society starts labeling the Escort as a No good whore, prostitute, slut, etc.
So unless you guys are a fucking saint and never did a bad thing in your life STFU. Normally a 17 year old filled with testosterone thinks he's the baddest person on person- that's normally how teenage men act. GZ should have just obeyed the commands of 911 and took an ass beating that he started.
So I guess the laws should be changed that if I ever get into a fight if the other person is beating the crap out me with his fist and he's out wrestling me- mind you the guy is younger and far smaller- instead of licking my wounds and accepting defeat- it's o if I just shoot and ill him because he was icing my ass? Fights happen every day- normally someone wins and someone loses- if TM had a rock or brick I can understand but he was using his freaking fist for God's sake.

Not one of us was in that courtroom to hear all of the evidence. The jury, consisting of five white women and one Hispanic woman, were there the whole time. All six heard the same evidence, or lack of, and came to the same conclusion!
And the what if's are stupid. We could what if it to death. What if TM had a gun, what if there were no guns in the whole world, what if TM had been white, what if your dick was mounted to your forehead. What if we get rid of all vehicles to prevent drunk driving?
Where are you panty wearing, tampon sucking, bleeding heart liberals protesting when ANY death involving underage children and no one is convicted? Seems there are so many people ready to jump on certain bandwagons only if it furthers there own agenda.

So I guess the moral of the story is if you are in Florida and want to kill a 17 year old black boy or a 2 year old white girl its all good. So much for it being racial. I grew up in Florida, now I remember why I left. The one question I have is why was Zimmerman not at least charged for having a gun with him? That was against the law right there as I see it. Also if Martin had a gun and killed Zimmerman with it, would Martin have been found not quilty?

If a 17 year old young man acts like a punk and attacks someone regardless of race and get killed in the process...IMO that is just Darwin at work.
If it's a little kid that couldn't defend himself...that would be a different story

Several on here and most all of the media seem to make it like TM was just minding his own biz, walking home, and then got followed and shot by GZ. The evidence clearly shows that was not the way it happened. If TM had kept on walking, there's no story. Instead, he decided to go back and confront the "creepy cracker" and do a beat down so he could brag about it on his facebook page as he had done before. TM used the concrete as a weapon to attack; and GZ used a gun to defend. That's the way it went down, and that's the way the jury saw it.

When two stupid people meet and one has a gun,
odds are it will end badly.

So DallasFan if a man lie yourself who has 5 reviews- if you go see a girl who is escorting and let's say her "pimp" or enraged boyfriend walks in on your session and kills you- is that Darwin at work because society may say well DallasFan was committing a crime and doing something illegal and immoral so he got what he deserved- isn't that the same logical- only thing different was TM wasn't committing a crime which makes a big difference.
DallasFan as a teenager are you saying you never had a fist fight with someone before- or even as a adult? If so- it would be perfectly fine in your mind that if the person is losing and getting his ass beat than he can just shoot you?

If GZ was minding his fucking business and not "profiling" TM then this would have never happened/ TM was minding his business- are you saying TM said hey GZ come here I want to kick your ass and have a fight with you for no reason or did GZ see a young Black man with a hoodie and "assume" he was a criminal or up to no good?

Anyone notice that the ones who are applauding the decision and saying TM got what he deserved(their words paraphrased) tend to be Republicans?????
I find it laughable on certain right wing blogs that are saying the jurors have spoken and all those who are angered shut shut up and respect the law.
Hmmmmm, I wish those right wing zealots would say the same thing about Obamacare- didn't the Supreme Court state it was constitutional and upheld Obamacare, but people still taling about it and wanting to repeal it? Hmmmm, and what about both elections 2008 and 2012- didn't American voters speak and decided who they wanted in office yet people still bitching about the results?

I see this as a 2nd amendment issue by the Republicans. I didn't see or hear all the evidence but how he was not charged for anything is beyond me. Nothing says the Prosecution had any intention of pinning the charges on him. They may have only charged him to quiet the masses. He was not legally carrying a gun by the way I read the law and he was running toward trouble instead of evading it. Even the guy that wrote the "stand your ground law" says he was not acting within it. I would like to know what the jury knew or didn't know compared to what I know and don't.
I boils down to with the NRA behind you and your daddy a judge you can walk away from a murder charge. If you are a nobody and no support you go to jail.
Dallasfan, You did not really answer my question. If Martin had killed Zimmerman and said Zimmerman attacked him would he have committed a crime? Another question, If what you say is true how did Martin know Zimmerman was gonna be out that night and plot to "get" him?

Here is another question I like to ask someone- GZ had a gun on him- experts are unsure of who is yelling "help"- what are the chances of someone armed with a gun yelling for help against someone without a gun?
Are you telling me GZ had the ultimate equalizer in his pocket and he's going to yell "help" against an unarmed person? Makes no sense. Now if TM saw GZ had a gun wouldn't he more than likely be the one yelling for "help"? I damn sure would if I got into a fight with someone and all of a sudden the other person pulls out a weapon? Are you really that naive to believe GZ was yelling for help based on "punches" being thrown by a teenager whom GZ clearly outweighed? Only time people in fights yell for help if they are a major disadvantage- for example- a woman fighting a man- a man who is physically bigger and stronger than another person- or a person getting beat up by 2 or more people.
There's no fucking way GZ was yelling for help when he had a gun in his pocket.
