... Good to see the lads topple the Rockies... Next it's the Angels.
Arrrg! ... Time to unleash the "Lumber Company"...

Some signs of life from the bats. Hopefully it continues.

A client offered free tickets to whatever game/games I’d like to see. They have season passes, supposedly very good seats , that are there to hand out as gifts. Is there an upcoming home game that would be better to see than others? Would you guys consider a baseball game a good place to take a date? I’ve heard concessions are highly over priced. I’m assuming it’d be best to grab dinner and cocktails before the game, and just a few beers while at the stadium. Never actually been to a game so thanks in advance.

Better time hanging out at the bar/restaurants outside the ballpark.
Also not supporting Nutting by not going in the ballpark is a plus!

It’s truly one of the best parks in MLB. Great atmosphere. Yes, concessions are expensive for what you get. There’s plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Eat at one of them first. Have a few beers at the game.

... Don't let the mates crab yer arse about things, Spacely.

Yes, it's a crackerjack place to take a date.
'Cause you don't gotta stay there all night - might even
get yer-self a BJ if you leave 'round the 7th inning
and don't keep the pretty-bird sitting there and bored
outta her-own mind. ... I agree with our mates about the
over-priced foods... Better if Outback Steak was there.

... if you're in the South Hills area - you can travel to the
Station Square area and even take the Gateway ship ferry
- pretend yer sailin' to Tasmania!

Take the tickets if offoured and go have a good time!

I threw a similarly worded question on Reddit and was bombarded by women as being a “low value scrote”. What a bunch of cunts.

They got mostly olde crones like "Hardfaced Hannah from Hobart"
doing comments over there. ...

Skenes will pitch for the Pirates Saturday. They’re not waiting for super 2. Which would have been June.

... Our lads NEED a shot in the arm! (get it? )
Maybe Skenes will help cure the lack of run support.

swing the bat for shit! ... Time to batten-down the hatches
and check the waver wire... Time to get serious with things.

And who's the hitting coach? ... Mighty Casey?? ...
Let's see some BETTER HITTING! ...

Pretty fkn pathetic is what they currently are. I don’t see any great improvement on the horizon. A beautiful relay throw from Cruz to home plate. The runner is out by a mile and the catcher drops the ball on the tag. Bus ticket out of town for that jamoke.

I decided to finally watch a Pirate game today. With Paul Skenes finally being called up after some bizarre handwringing as to when to bring him up. Actually not bizarre because it certainly had something to do with contract control for the worst owner in professional sports.
Watched a great young pitcher do his thing, followed closely by the joke relievers that we find in someone else’s garbage dump. While these scrap heap relievers are ruining this kids opening, the chants of “fire Shelton” rain down from the stands. It’s not his fault. Can’t make fire from wet wood.
Then out of curiosity I googled 2024 major league team salaries and there our buccos are at the very bottom.
What a shame. I used to be a huge baseball fan. This will never change with Bottom Line Bob Nutting as the owner.
