You were musically precocious. I doubt that many of the other kids shared your taste in music. I'm assuming you were a kid when you starting buying albums.

I was about 9. My mom was a band singer, and my dad was a jazz trombonist. For many years he played lead trombone at Harrah's in Reno.

Austin -- live music capital of the world. I have tickets coming up to Eric Clapton, Leo Kotke, Bon Jovi, Zac Brown Band, and the Lumineers, all in about a 5 week period.

I saw Leo Kottke at Rockfellers in Houston many years ago. He's one the best twelve string guitarists in business.

many years ago, Roy Orbison was booked at the currently Hotel Intercontential in Addison

there were only about 30 people there and I loved every minute, RIP one of my favorites
