Wakeups Post was in direct response to your post you noted above. So in HIS OPINION you are "fat and ugly". Crass perhaps, and if he would have said "I find Overweight women unattractive" it would not have been a blip. But because he used different adjectives it seems worse...... So stating an opinion (especially in a direct response questioned in a previous post) is one key difference.

"Wakeup, I think you're an asshole." Is an accepted comment to make and in fact has been stated by many (myself included) often. But saying "Hey you fucking Asshole!" Is not. Subtle difference, but a difference nontheless....

There are other ways to get around namecalling that I won't get into now as to not further hijack the thread..... But hope the above helps shed some light on how some of these rules work..... Some people are better at playing "the game" to avoid infractions while still acting out, and are very well versed at doing just that.

I don't really see how refering to someone on here as "fat and ugly" wouldn't be a violation of

#3 - Disrespect to others, IN GENERAL, will be considered an item of low tolerance, especially when posting in our coed forums. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.

or maybe even

#4 - Blatant insults or hostility toward another member will be met with staff intervention.

Of course it's a mods or admins call.

Wakeup likes to start these controversial threads. What's his reasoning? Trying to get others upset, pointed, or even banned? Running off some providers or other members? Or is it simply a look at me...how many views my thread gets thing? Only he and his circle of friends knows.

The difference is whether the door is opened for that response. When an "opinion" is sought, you don't get to scream foul when you don't like the opinion given.

The greatest tool in a back and forth thread is a persons own ill thought comments.....ijs.

OFS..... This should help clarify...... And again, YES the point, and original thought of the thread was about obesity...... Fat is about as offensive as being called skinny to others.... Inherently "fat" is not a derogitory statement in that regards..... "Ugly" is a direct response to her comment and his saying that he thinks fat=ugly in his opinion on the matter is also well within his bounds and rights as a poster.

I will agree that the original post of this thread is about obesity and thus defines this thread as being about obesity. I am not too sure about the original thought of this thread....or maybe I am.

It is what it is and I am almost certain there will be another let's say "entertaining thread" in the near future that will get some board members blood pressure in the red zone once again.

First off..... That is no fix, and in fact makes a open and honest post seem snide & mean in nature. Not sure I appreciate being labeled in such a manner to be honest with you. But i will reitterate that my personal preferences in women has absolutely no bering on my unbiased approach to moderating these forums. The women we have here are what drives this board and for many this is their primary source of income, and I could not have more respect for that fact. My job here is to aid people when needed, facilitate the flow of information while keeping it within the guidelines set down by the owners. You mistake my own personal preferences in a woman with a dislike for those women which is simply not true. One of my favorite posters has been prominant in this very thread in Fancy in Heels.... I have enjoyed her post since I joined ASPD..... She is smart, witty and has a great sense of humor who has a wonderful ability to make light of nearly any subject. She is not my type as a partner, but I would not hesitate to grab a drink with her. You are distorting my comments, and making unjust declarations. Just because I am not attracted to a certain type of women does not mean that I think they are unattractive per say..... You're confusing my sexual attraction to my appreciation of beauty. It is not as black and white as you would have it painted.

I see the road that you are trying to guide me down and it is very much not appreciated. But no. I do not make it a point to ridicule anyone on the public forums here on eccie. Even before I was a mod this was my feeling, as it is just not my style, and since being appointed one it is even less becoming.
