This post was about doing things that aren't so smart.... The post quoted looks like someone took actions that weren't so smart....Someone got a text from an unknown person and they actually answered with their general location..... I suggest to delete texts from persons you don't know.... not to answer with where you're located..... THEN they got a follow-up text with a link to click....and, I presume clicked it???

Don't know everything about Puffin/OH2 mirror sites, etc, etc... but I do know not to answer texts at all from someone I don't know.....especially don't click any links in an unsolicited text.... and, now the link is recopied/pasted here....???

If a link is not recognized, the basic OMG IT rule is never ever whatsoever click it. Horror stories abound.
Btw, if a website, or an "overlay" looks weird, well... do I need to repeat myself?

A-man mentions other basic IT security items as well, so thank you A-man.

As for OH2 links to its gals profiles or ads, well....
Disclaimer, I'm a guy that tells IT what to do in the RW, and I know what OH2 links look like. I can get into OH2 using basic top line browsers. But, I've specifically configured my browser. Thus, I simply do not use more than a few top end browsers and don't even look at the new whatnot of the month.

As for an OH2 life forecast, well, unless they get their IT back together, their membership may look for other ad sites. Shame, but it is what it is.

Which brings us to the link in Triangles (pyramider's) post. Some outfit is trying to "steal" members to a new site. That site is a very basic bulletin board (MyBB) that uses a generic format and is not customizable. Apparently created in Oct 22. Their original admin has not logged in for a week and their only Mod joined on xmas day. Only one active member on line when I looked. Thus, I doubt I'll look at it again.

I mention P411 as one option in the thread. To the ladies reading this that are also on P411, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the "Available Now" feature on P411.

Gents - If you have P411 and "Subscribe" to a lady's "Available Now" ad, you can request an email or PM be sent to let you know. I request an email be sent. In my email, I have an "alert" set. The end result is that my phone pings to let me know that a provider is active and ready to meet....

This P411 option also works well when visiting another city. The ladies indicate they're "available now" and the guys know that she's advertising... no need to log-in or anything like that.

Of course there are other sites that are top of the line.
A-Man's list is valid and includes P411 which has coast to coast coverage and also several cities in Canada. ECG's friends are all on that in addition to an East Coast Regional.
Colorado and several other Rocky Mtn States have TOB (TheOtherBoard) which although extensive, is actually just a large regional.

Are others having problems with logging into OH2 again this morning? All I'm getting is the message:

"Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here"

I got this message using Safari and Puffin... with and without a VPN.

Anyone else able to login?
