There are 20+ nominees on the Democratic side. Most people are waiting to see who rises to the top before donating. In the past 2 weeks I have gotten letters from Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and the RNC asking for donations. None from any of the candidates on the Democratic side. They are battling each other and not Donald Trump at this point in time. In 2Q 2019, the Democratic contenders in total raised more money than Trump.
When the number of Democratic contenders shrinks to a handful, I'll bet you will see them approaching Trump's donation figures.

We shall see what happens in the future regarding contributions.

Trump has already exceeded the donors that he had in 2016. And there’s 15 months to go. Those are real numbers, not poll numbers. As they say “ money is the mothers milk of politics.” We’re seeing it already.

And Trump is doing it absolutely right this time, there are limits/exclusions/etc for primary contributions vs. general election contributions. Trump will build a very nice war chest during the primary, while the Dems are forced to spend it beating each other up.
His war chest will be "BIGLY" by the general, while all the Dems play catch up.

Nope. You’re the one all moist and gooey about Trump’s Great Success in WA.
If you don’t have the stones to back it up, maybe you should say it.
Texas is in play, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Very true. Being the incumbent has its advantages. That is why incumbents rarely lose.

What you fail to realize is that Trumps base is all he’s going to get. The more he places the fear and smear ads you know he’s going to place, the more motivated the decent people of this country will be to get out and vote.
A billion dollars of reminders of the hate and divisiveness of the Trump experiment will only amplify his defeat.
