I agree. The clear fear propaganda is almost tacky. Almost.. but not quite. There is a sense of truth to it. However, there is no reason for our leaders to be dividing the country (vaxxers vs. anti-vaxxers) during a time where we all really, really could benefit from being a unified force.

It appears we're coming apart at the seams, in a way I remember from childhood (60s/70s). Those traumas somehow petered out for good and bad. But the world is a much smaller and more complicated place now. The instinct for authoritarian rule is palpable. Some of what Trump did, while I agreed with it, I viewed as a temporary stand against a tide of anti-individualism.
