Then the following year, facing USC, with two Heisman Trophy winners in its backfield. A killer defense. Texas didn't stand a chance against a power house team with a 34 game winning streak, and again many said we didn't belong there. But when it was all said and done: Texas 41 USC 38 and a National Championship.

I am not saying we are a shoe-in to win. However, never underestimate any team on any given day. We have more than a great chance at walking away with the win.

Congratulations to Alabama. They played a great game. An awesome defense with a superior RB.

My only regret is not seeing the outcome of the game with Colt leading the UT offense. We will never know what would have been had the record breaking QB been on the field.

But I am still proud of the true freshman QB that had to grow up in a hurry, and play 90% of the game against the #1 Ranked Team. For him to be able to get within striking distance with only 2 min left shows the future we have to look forward to at UT. The last two drives for him showed the lack of experience in 2 minute situations.

But after losing to Texas in 7 out of 8 Bowl appearances (the 5th was a tie), I guess we can allow them a win.

All kidding aside, congratulations!!! Great game.
