Seeing what the Nazi Baby Killer wrote, I can say that he is wrong again. There is a such thing as a benevolent dictator (though they are few and far between). Just because someone is a dictator doesn't mean that they can't support free speech or human rights. Just don't get in their personal way and we're good. Back to the OP; I don't think Feinstein has had a "come to Jesus" moment. She has said a few things in the past like this but quickly pivoted when her base became alarmed. This is no different.

You're full of shit again. There was no ISIS in 1999 or during the time we had troops in Iraq. We fought against al Queda in Iraq and kicked them out of cities like Ramadi and Fallujah with the help of the Sunni Arab Awakening throughout Anbar Province. ISIS did not emerge as a branded competing jihadist group until 2011 when the catalysts I already mentioned came together - the unrest in Syria and the US pullout from Iraq.

You fucking ignoramus. When a dictator has control, it is difficult to expound freedom, from inside or outside. If a country democratically elects someone we don't agree with, we simply oust them and place someone in power that plays ball. That's the way it's always been in the middle east and it's the reason they don't particularly like us. They use Islam as a cover, but ultimately, they don't like being meddled with.
