sounds like upfront payments for possible services in the future. not always a good hobby move.

if she wants to get implants, a new car, a trip to see the solar eclipse, her toenails encrusted in emeralds, fine with me.

but, in my hobby opinion, asking for money to get something done or to pay for something that may or may not be completely necessary completely destroys the "illusion of passion."
