I understand that Ambar (can't remember her last name) is requiring a discount and based on the comments and reviews on here, guys probably want to see her -- I don't. No one else that I know of is asking for a deposit. I was just saying, that for example, if Jade or Madison or Brielle or Noel were per chance asking for a deposit, that I would pay it. But they aren't....

I am WAY out of the escort game right now -- I have seen two escorts in the last 23 months. I know nothing about STG. My comments were to highlight your comments about whose authenticity a deposit validates.

I'm on the side of not giving in for deposit demands no matter what. In my years of hobbying, I have sent "gas money" or "baby sitter money" twice, both times with the same result...I never hear from that person again. What they receive may be less than if they'd met with me, but they never had any intention of meeting. Thy only wanted the $35-$60. Heck, they could have been running their scam from the Ukraine or Haiti for all I know.

The two latest scams were interesting. The first was a woman (maybe) on SA in Oklahoma that I was going to fly to meet with me after a couple of weeks worth of SA and text messages. She was game for it until I said that I would pay for the ticket rather than sending her the fare and having her buy the ticket. Her line was that she lived with her aunt and didn't want the aunt to know. BS. When I insisted that I would pay for the plane ticket, she blocked me. The most recent an escort was right here in Abq.

After a bit of back and forth texting, she gives me an address in Rio Rancho. Upon arriving, it is a gated apartment complex but luckily someone is leaving and I drive in. Text the escort and she springs on my that she doesn't take cash; I should Venmo her the donation. Once she receives it she'll come down to get me. I just drove away.

I'm going with the more experienced hobbyists who just don't send money into the void and wait to be disappointed. Hobby on!

I wouldn't pay ANY escort a deposit unless she is well reviewed or you have a foolproof way to verify her. I'm not playing in the escort world right now, so I am not up-to-speed, but I would guess there are maybe three or four women around that would get a deposit from me, and all of them have two or three year reputations on ECCIE. Just don't do it.

On SA, if I suspect scam, I ask to go to text. Then I ask for a selfie with a specific thing, like Goodman's paper note (only I keep it simpler -- holding up a peace sign, or a finger touching her forehead). In the 30 days I spent on SA just recently, only one woman sent me that selfie and six declined - so scammers. (The one turned out to be absolutely nuts, BTW, but it WAS the woman in the pics, lol.)

The fallout from FOSTA/SESTA and the combined impact of Covid19 is going to leave all pay-for-play in a turmoil for months. It's a different world -- husbands, boyfriends are home; kids are home; babysitters are scared to "come over"; meet and greet opportunities are scarce. Remember, too, that many of these women are collecting unemployment from the state and from the Feds -- and making more money than they were making pre-Covid19. When that money starts to run out, and it will, then the p4p field will get more sane. Patience is important -- this will all shake out. And paying deposits to strangers and GPS women is only going to embolden them and make the time to return to normal last longer.

The women, escorts or SBs, are taking a huge risk seeing us, too -- there are some bad guys out there. Empathy goes a long way with a legit woman. And there are ways to work through putting everyone at ease. But Joyote is spot on -- a deposit proves you are committed, but it does nothing to prove her commitment. A deposit should not be one cent more than you are willing to walk away from. And to Atrampboy -- when she asked for the second deposit, your first deposit was already gone...I will give gas money (maybe $20), but the next cash transaction is after we are naked.

I did a quick calculation, and I have been playing in the p4p world a little over 8 years. I have done 4 or 5 "stupid things" and 2 "really stupid things". So I am averaging almost one serious regret a year, but I'm trying to get smarter...

Be safe, smart and patient...everything is cyclical and p4p will get more sane when life in general gets more sane...

I agree with you Diego. I don't give any donation to an escort unless it's an established one which is very rare. I'm waiting till the sb's unemployment runs out before signing up on SA again...

I have seen over 25 reputable women and only 1 asked for a deposit. I did not end up seeing her due to a sudden death in the family, and ironically, she didn't contact me to give it back, even though I cancelled 1 week in advance of our time together. That told me everything I needed to know about deposits and the business. If the women won't trust my references and reputation, then it is their loss.
