Fuck you, the Teapublicans AND that other lying sack of shit, Wayne La Pierre, the head liar at the NRA! You are fools! Not only should we get rid of giant magazines and 100-round drums, we should keep a list of every militia wannabe that buys black SWAT look-alike uniforms and body armor
!
Let's also keep track of anyone who uses phrases like "Teapublicans".

Not for any nefarious purposes, of course.

Just to help the government keep track of all of, and provides services to, our "special needs" citizens.

More pontification from a blowhard who doesn't even realize the reason the term was coined.

Had these soldiers been armed, the carnage at Fort Hood would have been limited. Only 4 minutes elapsed between the time that the shooting started and the time that the female civilian police officer responded and shot Hasan who still killed 13 soldiers and wounded many others in this brief amount of time.. Like I said had these soldiers been armed, the situation would have been defused very quickly with only minimal casualities.

Did you ever serve in the armed forces? I did and there were very few enlisted men that I would have liked to have seen armed on my military base. Consumption of alcohol for those living on base was the primary weekend recreation and to think of all these people carrying guns. Wow!!

Very true. In a war zone. Scary but true. In the U.S. military bases, you carried an UNLOADED M-16 while on guard duty. When you were done with guard duty, the M-16 was returned to whomever and locked up. Don't know about you, but I never had a handgun in my hands during my time in the army. It just isn't standard issue.

By the late 60's, M-16's had become standard issue. Handguns were mostly for show behind the lines, usually by visiting, upper grade officers! In any event, there was always an M-16 nearby should the need for more firepower arise.

By the late 60's/early 70's, M-16's had become standard issue. Handguns were few and far between.

I would have said more but some individuals love to pick nits!

I really can't believe that people are reacting to something written by Big Louise that she claims I wrote (okay, Whatzup I can believe).

I am really surprised that no one is talking about the kind of ammuntion and weapn used; a 5.7 X28 pistol. It penetrates body armor.

I wonder if Jessica Lynch wants to have the right to be armed?

I wonder if you would like to pay extra taxes to cover the insurance costs for armed teachers ?

Uhhhhh, no they don't. Nor do I.

But in some union states it would be part of the bargain.

I actually believe the "concept" of teachers being armed in lieu of qualified and trained peace officers will die a natural death....

.. unless of course it is authorized at the same time as "coupons" are issued for parents to send their kids to private schools at which their teachers are prohibited from carrying firearms.
